I’m not sure what some people think that the SS should do when they’re told to stand down.
A lot of Freepers seem to think it’s real easy to just quit a good job, when your “superiors” do something wrong and enraging, but when you’ve also got a wife, kids, home to care for and a career you want to continue.
I don’t believe any SS person has ever gone through an administration without something happening that enraged them and about which they could do nothing. It’s to their credit that they continue to do their job - and do it very well - despite this kind of treatment. (Hillary Clinton was horrible to them, too.)
