My mom had three siblings from the early 2000s. Only one left out of that bunch. She’s not looking so great but she’s about 17 now. Amazing for a feral considering all the hazards and cold winters. Plus my mom has got other ferals she feeds.

After Hurricane Andrew wiped out the vegetation in the park on the south end of Key Biscayne, a woman in one of the neighboring high-rises would bring a whole large bag of dog food every night to feed the raccoons, At least fifty would show up every night to be fed. Unlike the ones in the video, they were rail thin.
