Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine
ORYX ^ | Since February 24, 2022 and daily | ORYX

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“U.S. Ramps Up Howitzer Shell Production to Supply Ukraine, Replenish Stockpiles”

“Production rates are rising sharply while U.S. stockpiles are bigger than most people think, the chief of the Army’s acquisition program says”

“The U.S. has sharply increased production of a key artillery shell, helping to alleviate a global shortage of the ammunition that threatened to squeeze Ukrainian forces as they battle Russia, the U.S. Army’s acquisition chief said.

Doug Bush, the Army’s assistant secretary for acquisitions, logistics and technology, said in an interview that the U.S. is currently producing around 24,000 155-millimeter howitzer shells each month, up from around 14,000 a month before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The U.S. wants to hit monthly output of between 70,000 and 80,000 shells a month by early in the 2025 fiscal year, he said.”

Designed to support the U.S. Army Captains Career Course, “Understanding Combined Arms Warfare” defines and outlines the important aspects of modern combined arms operations. This is not a complete history of combined arms warfare. It is intended to highlight the most important aspects of the subject.

The beginning of the documentary establishes a common understanding of combined arms warfare by discussing doctrinal and equipment developments in World War I. The second part compares the development of French and German Army mechanization during the interwar period and describes how each country fared during the Battle of France in 1940. The film concludes by showing how the United States applied combined arms operations in the European Theater in World War II.

——> Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb Won’t Make Ukraine Combat Debut Till Fall <——
Beyond GLSDB’s Fall debut, a official says cluster munitions would be useful for Ukraine, but no decision to send them has been made.
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/ground-launched-small-diameter-bomb-wont-make-ukraine-combat-debut-till-fall

Excerpts:
Recent long-range attacks made by Ukraine - like the one today on the Chongar Bridge in Crimea - have spurred speculation as to what weapons are being employed.

One of those that has been promised but has still not been confirmed as operational is the U.S.-donated Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), although there certainly has been rumors and claims about its use.

But a top Pentagon official on Thursday testified before Congress that those weapons won’t come online until this Fall. She also said while controversial cluster munitions would “be useful” to Ukraine, the U.S. has no immediate plans to provide them for a host of reasons.

The issue of GLSDBs, a fairly recent adaptation of the GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs (SDBs) first promised to Ukraine in February, was brought up by Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia U.S. Department of Defense Laura Cooper Thursday. She was testifying before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe.

Cooper was responding to a question by Committee Chairman Tom Kean (R-NJ) about why the U.S. has yet to provide Ukraine - having a tough go in its counteroffensive - with Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) short-range ballistic missiles.

Those weapons can destroy fortified targets about 200 miles away and have been repeatedly requested by Ukraine and its supporters in Congress.

Cooper said her concerns related to “the practical aspects of availability” of the weapons.

Cooper has previously noted that when providing weapons to Ukraine, U.S. stocks are taken into consideration.

There are a limited number of ATACMS - Lockheed Martin has produced about 4,000 ATACMS in various configurations over the past two decades, according to Politico.

Some have been sold to allied nations, which bought the missile for their own multiple rocket launcher systems, while about 600 were fired by U.S. forces in combat.

Some of these may have been retired from service or fired in training and testing, as well.

ATACMS is seen a critical weapon that would be needed in a peer conflict and until its successor arrives in large numbers, the existing inventory is viewed as strategically important to maintain.

“Our military analysts have confirmed that DPICMs [ Aka, Steel Rain ] would be useful especially against dug-in Russian positions on the battlefield,” Cooper testified.

“The reason why you have not seen a move forward in providing this capability relates both to the existing congressional restrictions on the provision of DPICMs and concerns about allied unity. But from a battlefield effectiveness perspective, we do believe that would be useful.”

DPICM shells, each of which disperses 88 submunitions when fired, had been in use with the U.S. military since the 1970s and can be equipped with shaped or fragmentation charges, which are ideal for anti-armor and anti-personnel operations respectively.

Video commentary of its use in Iraq:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IroOVamQZHQ

Committee Chairman Tom Kean (R-NJ), the committee chairman, suggested that because Ukraine is seeking to use these weapons on its own soil, that mitigates concerns about the long-term effects.

“The Ukrainians believe that the battlefield benefits outweigh the costs,” said Kean. “And since these would be used on Ukraine’s own territory, Kyiv would be incentivized to judicially limit the post-war threat to civilians.”

[ Crimean Bridges Destroyed | Russian Collapse Countdown Begun ]

••Day 484: Jun 22

Today there was a series of powerful missile strikes on the Crimean bridges.

Recently released footage shows that the first target of the missile strike became the highway bridge near Chonhar.

Judging by the shape of the missile, it was highly likely a Storm Shadow missile.

When it comes to the destruction, as we can see, each missile made a huge hole in the bridge floor and rendered at least 1 lane inoperable.

In total, the first Chonhar Highway Bridge was hit by 2 missiles, while the second Chonhar Highway Bridge was hit by 1 missile.

Some sources speculated that the destructions are not characteristic of Storm Shadow.

However, judging by the remnant found on the ground, it was definitely a product of the leading French firm Matra BAE Dynamics Alenia, which produces long-range precision missiles, including Storm Shadows.

This explains why the rocket managed to cross the whole Kherson region without being shot down.

Some sources published footage of the Russian air defense work that operated right near the Chonhar Bridge.

The video shows how a Russian air defense system, Pantsir S1, is trying to intercept the Ukrainian cruise missile.

It looks like the system identified the rocket too late, and it hit the target before the Pantsir rocket managed to achieve its task.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces shot down 5 Storm Shadow missiles and 2 HIMARS missiles, although it was not mentioned how many rockets reached their destinations and what where the targets.

And as it turned out today, Ukrainians have conducted a series of strikes, not just one.

Local residents reported that they saw direct hits not only on the Chonhar Highway Bridge, but also Syvash Railway Bridge.

Later, Russian reporters confirmed that the railway bridge also suffered a strike.

Crimean occupation authorities announced that Russian experts are evaluation the damage and will temporarily close the bridges.

Occupation authorities’ representatives immediately filmed a segment on the bridge claiming that the damage is insignificant, the bridge would be repaired in a couple of days, and that such strikes have little effect on the course of the war.

Ironically, Russian officials used precisely the same words and phrases to describe the situation when Ukrainians started hitting the Antonivskyy Bridge ahead of the Kherson counteroffensive operation.

The problems with logistics have already started to set in.

People already posted a lot of videos showing massive traffic jams and the disarray in Russian logistics.

Chonhar bridges were extremely important for the stability of the Russian supply lines because they had direct highway and railway connections to the hottest part of the front line.

Some Russian analysts claimed that Russians can easily create multiple pontoon bridges, and it will solve all the problems.

However, when it comes to transferring heavy equipment in large numbers, especially via the railways, pontoon bridges are simply not a viable solution.

Right now, Russians have to start making massive adjustments and rely on the last remaining connection between Crimea and the mainland.

Such monumental changes not only dramatically increase the supplied shoulder but also put substantial pressure on this line, which inevitably leads to bottlenecks and inflexibility.

The spokesman for the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate stated that the actions that are currently taking place will continue, which basically means that Ukrainians are entering the next phase of the counteroffensive operation, where the main goal is to take out the Russian logistics.

Russian analysts are already raising the alarm about the fact that Ukrainians are setting Russian forces for a complete failure.

They claimed that Ukrainians chose the Chonhar bridges first because it forced Russians to use longer routes and more distant bridges.

Once Russians adjust, Ukrainians can take out the next bridges, increasing logistical issues exponentially and possibly topping it all off with the destruction of the Kerch Bridge, which will serve as the last straw, after which Russian will face a complete logistical collapse in all regions simultaneously.

Russian sources said that Russia use this bridge [ road & railroad were both hit ] to supply 70% of all weaponry for Zaporizhia & Kherson. The bridge closure creates a 130km detour for supplies to the Zaporizhia region.

Should Russia use nukes in Ukraine, the West will respond by finding a way to get rid of the person responsible with prejudice.

Zelensky:
He reiterated today the warning below:

He addressed world leaders [ yesterday ] with a warning that Russia is preparing to undermine [ destroy ] the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

“Our intelligence received information that Russia is considering a scenario of a terrorist attack at the ZNPP with a release of radiation.

They have prepared everything for this.

Unfortunately, I have repeatedly had occasion to remind that radiation does not know state borders, and who it hits, is determined only by the direction of the wind.

We pass on all available information to our partners, all evidence - Europe, America, China, Brazil, India, Africa, the Arab world - all countries and international organizations should know this.

This time it should not be like with Kakhovskaya [ Nova Kakhovka ]. The world has been warned.”

##•• It bears repeating: if the Russians and Putin go through with this plan, the release will render Ukraine and several surrounding countries uninhabitable, and if the cloud moves over Europe, it too will become uninhabitable. This will be the worst crisis in all of human history, bar the Mt. Toba eruption 74,000 years ago. ••## ]

••The IAEA denied Budanov’s words about the mining of the ZNPP cooling pond.

But they noted that the station was indeed mined around the perimeter and in some places inside, “which, as the station’s security officials explained, were intended for defensive purposes.” At the same time, Grossi the head of the IAEA, said that “the main safety functions of the nuclear power plant are not violated”

Grossi also says that ZNPP plans to resume pumping water, which is still available in the pond and does not yet require the use of a cooling pond.

The head of “Wagner” PMC Prigozhin:

“The Ministry of Defense is deceiving the public and telling the story that there was aggression on the part of Ukraine for 8 years, and they were going to attack us together with all of NATO. Ukraine did not attack the civilian population, only the positions of the Russian army”

No one killed 60 leopards, this is complete total nonsense, now the Russian army is retreating in the Zaporizhia, Kherson directions - Prigozhin.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are pushing through the Russian army, we are washing ourselves with blood, no one gives reserves, there is no control.”

He is clearly the main fan of our victory.

It is very important to understand that he is our enemy and he just tells what is profitable for him in his conflict with Shoigu.

But it is interesting to watch.

Zelensky, when he became president, was ready for agreements. All that had to be done was to get down from Mount Olympus, go and negotiate with him,

“What was the war for? The war was needed for Shoigu to receive a ‘hero star’. The oligarchic clan that rules Russia needed the war. The war was needed to install Medvedchuk as president of Ukraine.”

==
By the way this is the founder of Wagner. His surname is Utkin. He was in the special forces and fought in Chechnya since that time he is an open Nazi. His nickname (call sign) is Wagner.

Agreed. Time is running out for us all, because this seeming central focus in the moment is not the world's central focus demographically.
