In the subcommittee’s latest report released Friday they discovered that the IRS is using fake names to enter taxpayers’ homes and harass homeowners.
And in this Ohio case, the IRS agent threatened police when he got caught.

Since then, the Committee has learned of another instance in which an IRS agent performed an unannounced field visit to a taxpayer. The details of this field visit are bizarre. On April 25, 2023, an IRS agent who identified himself as “Bill Haus” with the IRS’s Criminal Division visited the home of a taxpayer in Marion, Ohio. Agent “Haus” informed the taxpayer he was at her home to discuss issues concerning an estate for which the taxpayer was the fiduciary. After Agent “Haus” shared details about the estate only the IRS would know, the taxpayer let him in. Agent “Haus” told the taxpayer that she did not properly complete the filings for the estate and that she owed the IRS “a substantial amount.” Prior to the visit, however, the taxpayer had not received any notice from the IRS of an outstanding balance on the estate.
During the visit, the taxpayer told Agent “Haus” that the estate was resolved in January 2023, and provided him with proof that she had paid all taxes for the decedent’s estate. At this point, Agent “Haus” revealed that the true purpose of his visit was not due to any issue with the decedent’s estate, but rather because the decedent allegedly had several delinquent tax return filings. Agent “Haus” provided several documents to the taxpayer for her to fill out, which included sensitive information about the decedent.

The IRS loves to target people recipients of estates/probates/inheritance’s.
I knew a guy who worked as a temporary IRS employee during tax season some years ago. He said the entire atmosphere there was one of extreme paranoia. People weren’t allowed to tell anyone their last name or say where they lived or anything about their families. At the end of the day, everyone would walk out to the parking lot as a group and walk everyone to their car, safety in numbers was the idea.
Homewowner: "Gotta warrant?"
IRS Agent: "I don't need one".
Homeowner: "Yes you do. Here is my CPA's number written on the back of our family attorney. Good day. Please leave".

This seems more and more the govt view. Anyone from the government tells me I have no constitution, there’s going to be trouble right there and then. Right there and then.

It’s horrible that that was in a budget that Republicans went along with, but there is no way that they’ll ever do it.
First and foremost, the initial qualifications are ridiculous, so that removes about 90% of the population of people that would even consider the job.
Then the background checks and training are going to wash out some of that 10%.
Then, the few that make it will be so overwhelmed with the workload, realize that it’s not cops and robbers and that working for the federal government isn’t what they thought it was going to be, then, after they get past all of that, they come to the realization that they don’t actually have to do any work and they can’t get fired. They just have to show up, log onto their computer, move papers from one side of the desk to the other, make a few phone calls and still get paid.
Is this IRS thug still employed?
Simplest way to get rid of all of these agencies, without the need for cutting funding or defunding the entire agency.
Hiring freeze. Cut all unfilled positions and not replace the ones that become vacant due to retirements, resignations, transfers, terminations. Just watch it whither and die on the vine.
Give administrative staff the opportunity to work for another agency and move.
Pretty soon, there’s no need to defund as there’s no one there to defund.
That would work wonderfully with the FBI, right about now. And with them it would be even easier. Hiring freeze to maybe on class a year. And modify the hiring requirements by raising the age limit to 26, for agent, and applicant has to have come from local law enforcement or certain MOSs of the US military(infantry, military intelligence, other combat arms). No more hiring kids fresh out of college who just spent 4 years being indoctrinated by liberal professors. Let them go out and work, pay some taxes, pay for the gas they put in their cars.
That’s pretty brazen. A friend had an IRS agent visit over a misplaced decimal point. First question she asked was “Do you own any firearms?”
That’s as it should be.
