Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“Of course.....His way - His timing” (all powerful Putin’s way and timing)

So since he controls everything, this must have been his plan all along - to destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure, cities and land; taking a long time, and destroying the Russian Army and economy in the process.

Everything according to the Master Strategist’s Master Plan…

Even if Russian troops retreat (again), give up thousands of square kilometers (again) and take further huge losses in personnel and equipment (again) over the coming two weeks (and it is coming), it is only because the all-knowing and all-powerful Putin has (again) wisely chosen to conduct another masterful feint/trap/goodwill gesture. It is all his way, and his timing.

More Russians died in ten months assaulting Bakhmut (formerly Ukraine’s 56th largest city) than the Soviet Union lost in its ten year long invasion, occupation and withdrawal from Afghanistan. His way, and his timing.

Putin controls everything. He just chooses to adopt a longer and more costly campaign, because he knows better. It is his way, and his timing, of course.

The Kyiv Independent. @KyivIndependent 1h

“The 13th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein summit, will take place on June 15 in Brussels, followed by the NATO Defense Ministers Meeting on June 16.”

(More ammo,Air Defense, and fighter jets are on the menu)

Russia has no conference to go to, and no donor nations to support it - because it is so clearly an aggressor, and has committed such horrible atrocious war crimes. Nicaragua and Syria will vote for Russia in the UN, while Russia is paying them, but North Korea abstains (apparently, not wanting to tarnish its reputation, by associating with such a pariah).

Brilliant, destruction of civilian infrastructure and civilians. I have noticed a lot of smoking accidents in Russia lately
But hey your right Putin is a master strategist

Well of course you can certainly express your analysis of what you believe might be Putins thinking/ plans etc. I cannot say I view the Ukraine situation nor Putin as you've outlined. Further... it isn't required to be for or against either Zelensky/Ukraine or Putin/Russia to formulate a view of what's happening and the dynamics of this conflict. Especially given the decades of consistent conflicts in Ukraine - foreign and domesticate - and that both are similar in their natures. The difficulty is this is not a war between Ukraine and Russia as most understand. It is a proxy war between Russia and Nato. Therefore understanding the ground warfare one can safely assume the deciding factor, when all is said and done, will be that which identifies who ultimately has the disputed land.

Russian officials agreed and said everything is going according to the Plan - Vlad’s Plan.

“given the decades of consistent conflicts in Ukraine”

How about the centuries of consistent aggression and conquest by Russia?

It did not become the largest country on Earth by accident. It did it by being exceptionally and consistently aggressive and brutal.

NATO did not form and persist for 75 years by accident either, but in response to Russian aggressiveness and brutality.

The same claims that Russia makes today to justify its attempt to conquer Ukraine, it also makes against a dozen other countries, like Poland and the Baltics. Russia is a lawless aggressor, that must be defended against, or it will continue to attack when it is able, as it has for centuries, and throughout Putin’s tenure, with his expansionist aggressions into Chechnya, Georgia, Moldova and the Ukraine.

“one can safely assume the deciding factor, when all is said and done, will be that which identifies who ultimately has the disputed land”

Russia’s high water mark for control of Ukrainian land was around the end of March, 2022 (fifth week of this invasion). Since June 6th of this year (less than a week), Russian forces have lost more ground than they had managed to capture since January 1st.

There are a lot of Military, economic, political and diplomatic factors involved in causing that land to change hands. Those are the deciding factors. Military professionals throughout NATO, supported by more than 50 donor nations are ensuring that the deciding factors are set to return control or Ukrainian land to the Ukraine.

Putin is a career criminal who has failed in the biggest heist that he ever attempted, and is now cornered by the police. His Army has burned through the bulk of the huge stockpiles they inherited from the Soviet Union, and their production is just a small fraction of their burn rate.

You stated......”Military professionals ‘throughout NATO’, supported by more than 50 donor nations are ensuring that ‘the deciding factors’ are set to return control or Ukrainian land to the Ukraine.”

So that statement would indicate you agree with me Ukraine/the people of Ukraine/Zelensky have little to do with ‘the decisions’ being determined for THEIR country. I’m glad we can agree on that. ....Just as I stated prior....“one can safely assume the deciding factor, when all is said and done, will be ‘that which identifies’ who ultimately has the disputed land.”

So we wait for the ultimate outcome.

It’s actually common in war to destroy infrastructure and unfortunatly civilians can and do fall during wartime conflicts. Often this occurs when armies occupy schools, malls, clinics, apartmnt builds and the like. .... or use them for storage of military armament and equipment. Just as we’ve seen in this conflict.

No, that does not follow logically (non sequitur).

NATO and Allies resource whatever Ukrainian forces need, but they remain under the command of their duly elected leaders.

“ It’s actually common in war to destroy infrastructure and unfortunatly civilians can and do fall during wartime conflicts.”

What governs whether civilians or civilian infrastructure become legitimate targets are the laws of war, as stated in the Geneva and Hague Conventions, to which Russia is a signatory.

Russia has deliberately and massively violated those laws - in fact they are being accused of violating every single tenet of both treaties during this invasion.

War Crimes investigators from the International Criminal Court are already formally investigating over 80,000 war crimes by the Russian invaders, and Putin himself has already been issued an arrest warrant (for the genocidal act of taking children), that requires around 150 nations on Earth to arrest him, if he enters their jurisdiction. Many, many more charges are likely to follow.

The pervasive, deliberately planned and atrocious nature of Russia’s criminal behavior is what has United so many countries together in supporting the Ukraine, and paying high prices to do so. Those who have seen the evidence, have been changed by it. That is why German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, a radical Leftist anti-NATO protest leader in his 20’s, has broken Germany’s post WWII prohibition on exporting weapons into a conflict, with the full legal approval of the Bundestag. Japan did the same. Even Switzerland is close to doing so (their Upper House approved it last week). Famously neutral Sweden and Finland applied to join NATO (Finland is already in, and Sweden may be admitted soon). It is very far from business as usual, with “normal” civilian collateral damage. Russia’s brutality and criminality has been shocking to the world.

Your examples are correct, but the rules of war(oxymoron I realize) but signed by Russia so they agree to them are not mistakes or just attacks on civilian target occupied by military and you know that esp when using s-300 ground to air missiles as ground to ground missiles with terrible accuracy

Beginning with mass missile and rocket attacks on Kiev and other cities there is no way to say those attacks were military in nature

Well...mass missile and rocket attacks on Donstk killed a woman, seriously injured 6 and others with minor injuries this week by Ukraine. Thus goes war an by both sides.

I have a question, do you consider the drone “attack” on the Kremlin equal to the mass rocket, missile and drone attacks on say Kiev?

I am “fishing” for moral equivalence. Russians called 2 small drone attacks on Kremlin which arguably did little damage a terrorist attack. Is it if so is mass attacks on civilian targets killing tens of thousands in Kiev Odessa and many other cities legitimate military targets or terrorist attacks. How about shelling of people in kherson being evacuated from flooded city, was that a military attack or a terrorist attack.
I don’t know what happened with the attack and deaths you mentioned. Was it after a military target and there was collateral damage or intended to attack civilians if so a war crime
What I do know is the mass attacks on Ukrainian cities, hospitals, apartments, shelling of evacuees in kherson are.
Are you equating the actions of both sides and scale?
