Blowing up that dam is damaging the Russians in the area they already control. It is far more likely that the Ukrainians blew the dam.

Ukraine would have to have placed explosives in the middle of the dam wall. A LOT of explosives. Since Russia has control over half that dam, it wasnt going to happen under their nose.
When Russia had full control over both sides, that is before the Khereson offensive, Ukraine claimed Russia had planted explosives. I think this explosion bears it out.
As for the damage to Russian forces, They intended to make it an area that Ukraine could not advance, and that was acheieved, But I suspect the breach was not intended to be so large, causing problems on the Russian side. Typical Russian miscalculation.

What we do know, the Ukies lost ALOT of equipment the past three days- no really clear indication if it was their announced spring, summer, …famed offensive. If it was, not a good start, especially after their Bakmut losses.

It’s a propaganda war, as well....and since the lying left Democrats are also involved, I would question any and everything said that makes Ukraine the “perpetual victims”. So the problem is....now...our own government is behind most of the lies.
