“NONE of this benefits Russia???”
How does Russia shutting down Ukraine’s power plant benefit Ukraine. It just happens to be the largest one in Europe so is a huge power loss for Ukraine. I’m sure Putin is happy.
It wasn’t generating for Ukraine, that I know of.
I don’t think it was connected to the Ukrainian grid. That would have conflicted with the Russian campaign against the Uke electric infrastructure of a few months ago.
Russia controls that power plant, and it supplies Russian territories too.
