If Morning Joe did a segment on the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., think they'd mention his assassin, James Earl Ray, and the fact that Ray was a segregationist and a supporter of George Wallace? Rhetorical question.
So how was it conceivable that today's Morning Joe, in addition to marking the 79th anniversary of D-Day, devoted extended coverage to the anniversary of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy--yet never mentioned even the name of his assassin, Sirhan B. Sirhan, let alone the fact that he was a Palestinian motivated by RFK's support for Israel? Or that Sirhan was a fan of communism, having written: "Long live Communism... I firmly support the communist cause and its people... American capitalism will fall and give way to the worker's dictatorship."

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Instead of saying that James Earl Ray was a Democrat, they would word it in a way implying that the Republican party has taken over the segregationist wing of the Democrat party.
Well, at least it is a pleasant surprise that he didn’t find some way to blame it on ‘Ultra MAGA White Supremacist Conservatives’.
Why is Sirhan still in the pokey while Hinckley is out?
They may have wanted to avoid this hornet’s nest of conspiracy theories.
A few of them....

The late George Plimpton and Roosevelt Grier risked their lives by quickly jumping onto Robert F. Kennedy to shield him from further shots. Oddly, apparently due to his deep feelings of loss for Kennedy, who was a close friend, he never wrote about or spoke about the moment. Odd because he wrote of hundreds of his personal experiences (as Paper Lion with his playing Detroit Lions football, MLB baseball in Out of My League and many others as the everyday man put in the spotlight). This historic moment went untouched by one eyewitness.
RFK Jr. has lobbied for his release.
Hasn’t the King family advocated for James Earl Ray and said i innocent since the 1990s?
Because Reagan lived?
