They only have what they could get from the local department stores and what they captured including one helicopter - just like the Russians did in 2014 - nothing to see.

“Prigozhin says part of Berkhivka, north of Bakhmut was taken by Ukrainian forces, and Hanna Maliar says Ukrainian forces advanced 200-1600 meters towards Paraskoviivka and 100-700 meters to the south in the Klishchiivka direction.”

“One reason why Ukraine is likely focusing on the Vuhledar-Velyka Novosilka area is because Russia pulled units from there (e.g. the 200th and 72nd MRB) to reinforce Bakhmut’s flanks, and the 40th and 155th NIB were not properly reconstituted after their failed Feb-March assaults.”

Lets have a good laugh.

“This is roughly the prevailing current mood among Russian “bloggers” and “war correspondents”:

“I’m sitting in f**king shock, the situation in the country is fucked up, they’re only destabilizing it further, the situation in Belgorod region is getting worse, the Ministry of Defense almost entered into an open confrontation with Wagner, Wagner had a confrontation with Akhmat [Kadyrov’s forces], they don’t let us work at full strength on the waiting lists, drones fly over Moscow, they fly into Krasnodar, systematically visit Crimea, everyone fights with each other, even Telegram channels. How are we going to win like that?

Nothing distinguishes Russia from other countries as much as competition and hostility of various structures to each other.

The problem is deeper and deeper; people argue with each other in grocery shops, military argue in their locations, there is arguing between the types of military forces, arguing between structures, everyone f**king argues””

“Latest: Official in Ukraine’s defense ministry claims the country’s troops are making advances on the eastern front around Bakhmut, writing in a post on Telegram that ground troops were “carrying out offensive actions” and had “advanced in several directions”.”

Interesting.

“Ukraine has cultivated a network of agents and sympathizers inside Russia working to carry out acts of sabotage against Russian targets and has begun providing them with drones to stage attacks, multiple people familiar with US intelligence on the matter told CNN.

US officials believe these pro-Ukrainian agents inside Russia carried out a drone attack that targeted the Kremlin in early May by launching drones from within Russia rather than flying them from Ukraine into Moscow.”

After some early comments, the trolls seem to have fled. Possibly to learn the latest taking points in the face of Russian retreats.

I tend to agree when you see bradlys leopards and abrams(nevermind Russia says all babes already destroyed 😎) as well is rest of western kit and massive drone strikes, then I believe you will see the mass of the counteroffensive. But of course I have been called stupid, naive, and clueless so disregard lol

I think the “dragons teeth” are the best, bet some oligarchs got wealth off the sales and placement of those duds

As I recall, when the “dragons teeth” began to appear, there was an article or post or video or tweet that the contract was let by the military during the time of a now-removed Russian General - who was a known thief and possibly a murderer. His name begin with an ‘S’ and he was supposed to solve the SPO problems.

So its more likely, even if it was not that General, it was some other General who let the contract, not an oligarch.

“You didn’t finish the author’s comment”

I did not agree with that part (”then launch its (Russia’s) own larger scale attacks against weakened Ukrainian defenses.)

I don’t see how Russia would magic a fresh force to conduct such a renewed offensive. Russia’s ground forces are already heavily committed (overwhelmingly by normal doctrinal standards) to the existing front lines, with scarce reserve forces to react to Ukrainian incursions, much less mount some major offensive of their own.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive force (the nine new Brigades of the Offensive Guard) was not pulled off the line (weakening defenses), but was generated in the rear, and trained at NATO’s state of the art combat training centers in Hohenfels and Grafenwöhr. Russia has generated no comparable forces to conduct any kind of large offensive.

They (Russian forces) are just going to have to take this punch, and it is going to hurt.

Maybe Russia will conduct another wave of mobilization this Fall, and try to counter the the next wave of Ukrainian/NATO force generation, that is already underway to create another counter-attack Corps for later this year (11 more new Brigades) - that one with a new Air Force of Western jets

I did not agree with that part

Well then, it's no wonder you're comfortable bathed in Western propaganda.

BTW, are you an American citizen?

Ah, the daily promotion of the Dutch website continues,

When is daily promotion a simple promotion of a single web site? How difficult is it for Speedy's fans to find their way to that web site, that they need to daily pour over the minutiae of war?

A look to the opus of Speedy is interesting, shows for the most part a single and repetitive focus. The promotion of ORYX and its various posts, reposted to Free Republic. A look at Speedy's repetition, day by day, FR shows the prolific activity and hearty responses by a small but devoted band of 'fellows.' Yea, team.

https://freerepublic.com/tag/by:speedyintexas/index

What is ORYX? ORYX is a Dutch website, with Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels, runs its own Patreon blog, https://www.patreon.com/oryxspioenkop.

Of the "boys," WIKI informs: "Oryx, or Oryxspioenkop, is a Dutch open-source intelligence (OSINT) defence analysis website, and warfare research group. It is run by Stijn Mitzer and Joost Oliemans. Both have previously worked for Netherlands-based Bellingcat. Oliemans also worked for Janes Information Services, a British open-source military intelligence company."

It is interesting that my few days of observing the repetitive nature of ORYX' promotion by Speedy was termed "spam," while the weeks of daily reports from ORYX are not. Ah, words and definitions can be such fluid things. Hurrah for the Republic which is Free!

If you look at the mansions some of their “military” leaders live in I would classify them as oligarchs, certainly richer than their paychecks should make them

Personally I am happy for them, their corruption has at least in part lead to the condition and performance of their military

So corrupt away

For dragons teeth to be even remotely effective they must be secured to the ground. From what I have seen you can push them aside, drive over them or for the sake of convenience I think the lifting hooks are still in place

Lol this thread is about Russian losses primarily, ORYX is a source for this, not the only one but a good one I think
Get it you apparently don’t think so, but that is how this thread started and it begins with a link to ORYX and it’s loss determinations for the day

To be clear the losses recorded are not necessarily for the previous day but what has been reported and verified so the tank loss could be from 6 months ago. Their claims are vetted and on many occasions their numbers have dropped due to identified multiple reports of the same equipment item. No doubt there are mistakes, but I think relatively accurate for documented losses. The loses I would imagine are greater but that is my opinion.

The Russian MOD numbers are just funny 400 aircraft and 4000 tanks himars been destroyed several times over and bradlys back in September. And so on, but hey Russians do their thing

As to monetized sites… I assume you don’t visit any YouTube or twitter locations because you would be adding to their income. I don’t know hate to put intentions on you, but how this one post of many on FR deserves your time and effort baffles me, but you do you
Me and my 7-8 “frequent” posters will still come and enjoy the content.

Australia, the United States and Ukraine are discussing the possibility of sending 41 retired Australian Air Force F/A-18 aircraft to Ukraine instead of sending them for scrap as previously planned, The Australian Financial Review.

I expect you would be very happy with that...me too.

There’s a YT video documenting just how poor the whole southern defense line is - from construction to placement of trenches and how easily bypassed.

Hoping the more plentiful and more rugged F-18s makes the cut as well.
