It would be entertaining to see crooks try to pull this off in our county. They would literally get ‘nailed’ before they made it halfway to the parking lot.
Crime is out of control because Democrats want it out of control. In California someone can steal up to $900 before it becomes a felony. In other states where no bail release is practice criminals are often on the street before the cops finish the report and later DAs feel over worked and drop charges.
So there is no mystery why it is happening.
The only mystery is why big businesses don’t use their power to influence the politicians. The only thing they do is raise prices and/or close stores.
Prediction - this can not go on forever. I don’t know what is going to change but change is coming.

The moral deterioration of this country started in the 1960s with LBJ and his “Great Society” welfare state. And it’s now reached a peak of depravity with the Biden administration. Either we turn the ship around or we’re all going to sink to the bottom...and total chaos.

The democrats have always wanted to eliminate private property. They have found a way to do it without anyone (except us) realizing what they are doing.
They have declared it not a crime to steal up to $1,000 worth of things in one action. Per person. So that is no limit at all. The thief can go back as often as he wants. He can go in groups.
So, by democrat decree, all the work of the store manager and staff has been declared null and void, and the value of the merchandise has been turned over to street people.
There is no private property in democrat areas. It would be extremely foolish to start a business in a democrat area. Or to own property.
This is how reparations to the black community are getting done. Talking million dollar payouts is just a smokescreen. This is how the government is doing reparations, making blacks a protected class and making it illegal to stop or even prevent theft.
