Three local Marines are currently in recovery after a terrifying assault by a large group of teenagers near the San Clemente Pier on Friday night.
According to one of the self-identified Marines, Hunter Antonino, he and his two friends were relaxing on their day off and were walking along the San Clemente Pier when a group of about 30 to 40 teenagers showed up.
The teenagers were reportedly setting off fireworks, and when the debris struck him in the face, he politely asked them to stop.

Doesn’t mean they didn’t. But chances are fewer when the whole crowd is against you.
This is a serious black eye to the OC Sheriff’s office. A resident had called the cops before the fighting began about the unruly crowd. But they never responded.
San Clemente is not your typical Ghetto neighborhood. These were probably local public school students who have been taught nothing about manners and morality. Rich kids who have never been told “No” by their parents or their teachers.
They weren’t 3 Patricia’s. Jokes aside, that many can overwhelm quick if you don’t funnel them and use your environment well.

Before the beating the yoots set off fireworks and the debris hit one of the victims. Let me guess, kids are going to be given access to more and more fireworks going forward?
Are you not aware how much trouble one of those adult marines could get in by beating up a minor so bad they end up in a hospital?
Simple solution; let Marines conceal carry their service weapon off duty.

What you have is a classic attack of BLMTIFA. Mix of militant Black Lives Matter types and so called anti-fascists. In other words thugs and indoctrinated, spoiled druggy white Marxist leaning scum.
They’re like packs of feral dogs. One year at hard labor would maybe get throught to them. I hope the Marines recovery fully.
Time for a boatload of Marines from Camp Pendleton to drop by and visit with the kiddos.
They could have been killed. I think a little self defense was warranted.
Lying on the ground in a fetal position waiting to be beaten to death by feral “teens” I hope is not something they learned in boot camp.
Plus most of these “teens” were probably adults.

Are you outnumbered? Are you noticably different from the thugs in question? Different race, age or status?
Are there any/ many neutral witnesses around?
Sometimes, being in the right is not enough.
I imagine Marine vet Neely was fresh on their mind.
If these kids were minors—nope, can’t hit a minor.
I think the Marines made a career decision.
Protect your head and soft middle and then suck it up.

The teens continued assaulting the Marines ever after the Marines were lying on the ground in the fetal position. The Marines never fought back.

The videos of this incident that I have seen only showed short clips, but I think the modus operandi of these fights is that you are in a crowd facing the chief antagonist when someone behind you strikes you in the head; one or two follow suit in short order, and then you're on the ground. (You don't even know who punched you.)
You are dealing with people who basically have no moral floor, and who wouldn't think twice about knocking you unconscious or breaking your bones.
If nothing else, this would certainly make an exciting headline.
Their hands were tied (figuratively).
If the Marines had responded with appropriate force, they would be in jail and their lives ruined.
Yet the mob will have no people locked up. Unless the OC Sheriff goes hardcore, which he should.
