The mother has the same mentality as:
“I’m a kleptomaniac, and I feel oppressed when you preach ‘thou shalt not steal.”
“I have a mistress, and I’m uncomfortable when you preach anti-adultery sermons.”
“I really enjoy pornography and I don’t think it’s harmful, and I don’t like it when you talk about avoiding lust and sins of the flesh.”
You should have mentioned ;
‘Purgatory’ is another false hope
Of Papists but HELLWE IS VERY REAL.
Sister, your daughter is suffering from same-sex attraction. She is in need of help. Do not encourage her temptations. Help her to understand these sort of feelings are temptations, but they lead to sin, just as temptations to steal, lie, or give false witness.
God does not present us with temptations we are unable to overcome.
Doesn't this describe all queers? Get a grip on the hyperbole.
Leave and don't never come back...
“Thou shalt not commit adultery”....not at all vague or ambiguous.
it’s a manual on how faggots and communists infiltrate and take over Christian organizations
Stay calm, speak softly until you have the congregation’s attention then spin your head 360 degrees and leapt up to cling to the ceiling.
Uh, isn’t this in the bible? ‘”where the pastor railed against “sodomites” and other “radical demons.”’
2nd Maccabees 12:46
It’s possible that the homilist mentioned LGBTQ people in a way that seemed offensive but was meant differently. Or perhaps the homilist didn’t know that what he was saying was offensive.
How to respond? Walk out and find a new church. Simple.
Ephesians 5:5 comes at you fast.
Dammit. Sent it before I finished: a find a house of perversion you just love.
BTW, Got into an exchange with someone in the twitter thread on this article, one of the liberal Christian who minimized the Bible’s teachings on homosexuality,
“tell us what the Bible says about homosexuality”
“Very little indeed. And the gospels, nothing.
What is written tells us less about Truth with a capital T (assuming there is such a thing) than it does about the cultural & historical milieu of the people who wrote it. If it were otherwise, there would no need for the Spirit.”
I remember somone posted an exact number on freerepublic but I can’t find it.
How many references does the Bible make to homosexuality does anyone know?
How to respond? As long as they don’t advocate violence, applaud.
They LBTQIAers could try repentance. Just saying.
Exactly!
