It's pretty clear that their overwhelming desire is to protect the system, whether it's corrupt or not. No cases will be allowed to look into except the occasional one where they briefly go through the motions and summarily dismiss it without considering actual evidence in order to give some talking points that 'a court heard this all and it had no merit' argument.

At every level, fed / state / local, they all are invested in protecting the system, whatever the cost to liberty and the rule of law.

No, Rittenhouse’s judge was right on. There are exceptions. Let’s not forget that since these are the ones we want in the SCOTUS.
