Politico Suggests Constitutional Amendment to Remove Feinstein From Senate

Politico seems very desperate to remove Dianne Feinstein from the U.S. Senate. How desperate? Desperate enough to suggest a constitutional amendment to remove elected officials whose health stands in the way of advancing the liberal agenda.

On Wednesday, former Politico health editor Joanne Kenen on Wednesday in "‘You Can’t Hide Things’: Feinstein, Old Age and Removing Senators." Kenen is now with the Commonwealth Fund, a leftist health-care foundation.

Even though a constitutional amendment would take years to enact, it is a mark of desperation that such a tactic is being considered even though it couldn't affect Feinstein. This is illustrated in the subtitle of the story: "Is it time for a constitutional amendment to oust incapacitated lawmakers?"

Feinstein physically gone from the Senate while still remaining in office makes it tough for them to appoint leftwing judges which is driving them nuts.

Careful what you wish for. Here in CA terms limits in the legislature had the effect of causing the lib candidates to be more and more extreme, as those who were at least somewhat moderate were timed out. Hence we have a supermajority of certifiable lunatics in the legislature

That said, I agree with Politico: Let’s have regular cognition tests for ALL federal officer holders over, say, 75

The poor woman is on the road to recovery. Give her time to get well. Shameful how the Left has no pity on their own, especially the elderly.

It’s actually a good idea - but getting 2/3 of each House and 38 States to agree?

That is impossible.

Real “no brainers” over at Politico ... would take years to get a Constitutional Amendment approved and by that time they wouldn’t want it because they would discover the Law of Unintended Consequences.

As I recall, having lived in Commiefornia for nearly 15 years, a standard tactic was for the dirtbag Demoncrats to time out in the assembly and then move over to the senate, or vice versa, to continue their malfeasance.

Term limits in Congress.

Yes. Much easier concept. Two terms for Senate. Six for the house. That's more than generous. And then get the hell out and get a real job.

Just change the Senate rules. Or maybe Sniffy Joe could sign an executive order.
May not be constitutional, but that hasn’t stopped them on anything else.
