Collapsing at Home, DeSantis Travels to Israel and Proclaims He Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Not President Trump
The Last Refuge ^ | April 27, 2023 | Sundance

This should be embarrassing, even for a seriously self-centered politician so filled with hubris and visions of grandeur that he cannot see anything except his own magnanimity. Alas, for the Narcissus Top Gov and the branding organization behind him, no scale of hubris exclaimed is excessive enough.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was in Israel Thursday, doing the obligatory indulgency tour all Republican presidential candidates must undertake before they officially announce. During his pre-planned events, DeSantis took credit for moving the U.S-Israel embassy to Jerusalem.

[…] DeSantis presented the Trump administration’s decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem as his own achievement, saying he worked to “cajole” the former president to make the move. He didn’t mention former President Trump by name. (link)

.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had no independent source of wealth, prior to this 2024 endeavor and collaborative operation. Together with the multinational financing operation around him, in combination with the Murdoch book deal and advance payment, the $300k Governor is now worth millions. Funny how that happens. It’s no wonder Casey is tiara shopping while Florida residents are crushed by skyrocketing housing, insurance, taxes, energy and other unavoidable costs of living.

DeSantis is another Mike Pence in disguise.

"I’m not seeing it."

I'm not seeing it either. I would think that Trump's long-time relationship with Netanyahu, along with son-in-law Jared Kushner, would have had more influence in the embassy being moved to Jerusalem, than De Santis was.

DeSantis was elected to the House in 2013, and served until 2018 when he ran for Governor. He'd only served for 3 years in 2017 when the Embassy was moved to Jerusalem, so I doubt he had any very little influence, if any in the decision.

"I guess we’ll rather lose in 2024 with Trump."

Unlimited voter fraud, sanctioned by both parties on January 6th, will see to that no matter who the Republican candidate is. As Nancy Pelosi would say: "You can take it to the bank."

"Reality is 90% of the conservatives I know where big trump supporters but have really lost faith in him over many things"

I'm 75, and haven't lost faith in President Trump. I've lost faith in the system. If I'm alive on November 5, 2024, and Trump is on the ballot, I will vote for him for a third time, because he is a known factor, and does deliver on his promises.

Will you vote for what you know, or for the unknown? Trump has been tested under constant fire, and produced, even with a divided Congress. DeSantis served five years in the house before becoming Governor. He's never had to deal with a divided State Legislature during his term. The Florida Legislature has a two-to-one Republican majority in both Houses. He'll never have that in Washington, so it's unknown as to how he would deal with it.

Nobody is scared of DeSantis.

I thought he could get some presidential cred while taking care of Florida.

He is now on the RomBush train to nowhere.

Getting a little sick and tired of this guy. When he loses the primary to Trump he better damn well turn around and endorse him. If he doesn’t, he’s finished in my book.

Had you gone to The Last refuge link, you would have seen a link to an Axios article that states:

What he's saying: DeSantis presented the Trump administration's decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem as his own achievement, saying he worked to "cajole" the former president to make the move. He didn't mention former President Trump by name.

The above statement is located right after the 2 bullet points following:

Driving the news:

DeSantis in Jerusalem touts pro-Israel credentials

From The Last Refuge:

[…] DeSantis presented the Trump administration’s decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem as his own achievement, saying he worked to “cajole” the former president to make the move. He didn’t mention former President Trump by name. (link) <--- That's the link above.

So, can you see it now?

There are few things lower than someone who takes credit for someone else's accomplishments.

DeSantis isn't impressing me much lately.

“Good for Desantis.”

For lying about his role in moving our embassy to Jerusalem? Okay. Whatever you say.

Very good synopsis of where we stand. I guess many ppl, including conservatives on here, are drawn to the shiny new penny, which is a shame. Trump has been POTUS and was very effective until he lost the HOR in 2018. As long as he’s running, I’m in his corner.

Trump is scared out of his wits of DeSantis. He’s actually running stupid TV ads against someone who hasn’t yet declared his candidacy. Trump did a pretty good job as President until he made a mess of Covid. Too bad his current campaign has revealed him to be a desperate pro-Pfizer & pro-Disney candidate. Desperate Donald has earned my contempt.

“I see a statement from DeSantis in 2018 and some guy named Lipner in 2023.” Maybe Lindell has the packets.

lost in translation...😀
