-Daisy Cutter: daisy cutter is a type of fuse designed to detonate an aerial bomb. -BLU 116 is a United States Air Force bomb, designed as an enhanced bunker buster penetration weapon, designed to penetrate deep into rock or concrete and destroy hard targets.
-JDAM [The Joint Direct Attack Munition] is a guidance kit that converts unguided bombs, or “dumb bombs”, into all-weather precision-guided munitions. The JDAM is not a stand-alone weapon; rather it is a “bolt-on” guidance package that converts unguided gravity bombs into precision-guided munitions (PGMs).
-Paveway III is a laser guided free-fall bomb for use against surface targets from medium standoff range.The third-generation laser guided seeker/tail kit package enables greater precision over Paveway II and can be dropped from low, medium, or high altitude and is effective against a broad range of high-value targets.
Did it go through UPT [Urban Blast Tool] The Urban Blast Tool (UBT) quantifies the effects of blast in urban environments, including the influence of buildings on blast pressures propagating from explosions located in urban settings. UPT is Undergraduate Pilot Training. Sort of Basic Flight School for the U.S. Air Force. It lasts about a year. Upon graduation the "Pilots" earn their wings.

RTU is Replacement Training Unit where USAF pilots go to get trained on fighter aircraft, such as F-22, F-35, F-16, & F-15.

Well, how many US bombs were left in Afghanistan, for the Russians to take their pick of? Maybe more than a few.
It’s UPT, not UBT. My gut feeling tells me no aviation bomb is EVER going through UPT. 😀 My son went through it. The next phase was RTU, though my son told me they changed the name, but they still do the same thing. My son knew what he would be flying, before he went to OTS at Maxwell. His RTU (or whatever they call it) was at Holloman. When these guys finish UPT, the Air Force doesn’t point them to their assigned Aircraft, and say, go fly it. They work them into it. After Holloman, he got about 4 more months of flight training at Indian Springs. He makes Captain next month.

I deeply appreciate your comment. I did learn a lot researching info. for an answer. My Dad is now deceased but he served in the Pacific Theater, Army Air Corp. Part of his training to learn how to parachute was by jumping off the back of a huge moving truck. The goal was to tuck your head and hit the ground landing on your shoulder!!!
He never spoke much of the war. But, he could identify any military aircraft that flew overhead. We lived near Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan.

If you followed my comments, you would KNOW that for months I repeatedly pray for the victims of Putin’s Invasion: Russian military, Ukrainian military and Ukrainian Civilians. My comment was in regard to the irony of the Kremlin’s choice to repeatedly bomb their own city.

Maybe a coordinated Airborne leaflet (flyers) are scattered in the air to alter & support behavior of anti-invasion civilians. One leaflet has the potential to reach many civilians. Leaflets can be shared, hidden and easily destroyed in case of emergency.
Leaflet delivery can be as simple as having one or more of the aircraft’s crew throw bundles of leaflets out of an open hatchway. Or, a more sophisticated method like the leaflet bomb. This is not an explosive device, but rather a bomb–shaped container that is dropped from the aircraft and opened in mid-air, dispersing the leaflets it holds. One such “bomb” may contain tens of thousands of leaflets. During the Gulf War, Coalition forces dropped pamphlets encouraging Iraqi troops not to fight during the first Gulf War, which contributed to 87 thousand Iraqi troops surrendering in 1991.
During World War II, the British used hydrogen balloons to carry leaflets over German lines. Actually, Allied troops were able to persuade the Axis forces by using no words at all in one of their airborne leaflets which simply shows a picture of a large open field with thousands of graves of German soldiers as a direct way to show the soldiers their fate.
Despite the pitfalls to airborne leaflets this airborne leaflet tactic causes “men to begin talking to each other about: their poor military position, their desire to stay alive for their families’ sakes, and the reasonableness of honorable surrender” which often led men to desert their troops.
Realize however, the Russian Federation citizens continue to sabotage their own government. ALSO, A fire broke out at a Russian tank training ground following reports of explosions in the city of Kazan on Saturday, reported by local media. Details about the fire in Kazan remained slim on Saturday afternoon. Russian officials have not named a likely cause of the fire, nor have they revealed if anyone was injured or killed in the blaze.
However, Russian officials have denied that they have received reports of a fire despite media reports and video footage, according to local media InKazan.
