Rather Than Protect Florida Citizens from a Politicized New York District Attorney, DeSantis Sides with His Handlers and His Stock Plummets

Ron DeSantis is failing quickly out of favor with Trump voters. It is clear that he is listening to his handlers and consultants and NOT to his gut. And it is costing him.

On Monday, two days after it was reported that a corrupt Soros-backed DA who lets criminals go in New York, is planning on arresting President Trump on bogus charges, Florida Governor DeSantis finally responded. In his response, DeSantis made a dig at President Trump. Many thought it was tacky and uncalled for.

John Fredricks thought DeSantis’s response to the Constitutional crisis was weak.

DC Draino was on the War Room to make his observations on DeSantis’s response to the destruction of the US Justice System by the corrupt Soros-funded politician in New York.

DC Draino observations on DeSantis' response to the destruction of the US Justice System by the corrupt Soros-funded politician

It’s clear that DeSantis is listening to his handlers. These Paul Ryan – Karl Rove-type consultants are leading DeSantis over a cliff. By slamming President Trump at this pivitol point in history, he insults the American people. The fact that he doesn’t see this is severely damaging to his aspirations to become US President.

The efforts by the corrupt DA in New York are unacceptable and a bastardization of the rule of law. This is a political attack. The communist Dems would not be concerned with Trump if they weren’t threatened by him. This isn’t about the law it’s the opposite. This is about saving America.

If DeSantis’s global consultants were smart they would encourage DeSantis to do his job. His job is to protect the citizens in his state. When a radical New York prosecutor attacks a Florida citizen on bogus made-up charges DeSantis has a duty to protect that citizen from the overreach of government.

DeSantis defend President Trump and kindly ask that New York Democrat activists to not enter his state and arrest his citizens on nonexistent crimes. This would lift him up with the MAGA crowd and place him in a position of power.

But it’s unlikely DeSantis’s consultants have even thought of this. If they did it’s too late. It took them two days to come up with the garbage response he had on Monday. This is not a good sign for Ron DeSantis and his future aspirations.

You clearly don’t understand what is at issue here.

I posted this after DeSantis made his chicken bleep remarks. Now that it’s been confirmed who his handlers are, it’s even more apropos:

Sunday, DPEC (Desantis Presidential Election Committee) war room coffee and donuts meeting.

Advisor One: (while pouring himself a cup of Almond Hazelnut). Ron, did you want a strawberry or chocolate donut?

DeSantis: Cut me half of a Bear Claw, have to watch the beltline you know...haha.

Advisor Two: Let’s go over some sample questions. Here’s one.

What’s the answer if you get questioned about Trump indictment?

DeSantis: First off, we don’t know if there’s going to be one.

Advisor Three: Right, might be better to wait and see, and if there is we respond.

Advisor Four: Good idea.

Advisor Five: Any poll data?

Advisor Six: Yeah. 20-1 conservatives really pissed about this. Some democrats too. The Indian guy running for office, thinks you and Haley should respond now.

DeSantis: What’s McConnell, Jeb and Karl saying about this? Can you get them on the phone?

Advisor Seven: McConnell recommends waiting till we sample our base on it. He thinks there a good number who think that the Photo-op of Trump being arrested or at least a mug shot, will be good for us.

Advisor Eight: Jeb Bush suggests you come out and say that you’re all for the rule of law.

Advisor Nine: Karl Rove suggests that you come out and blast Bragg, making sure you say in the remarks that he’s a George Soros guy, and....and this is good....says you should also make a point of saying this...and I quote him

“that you don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair.”

DeSantis: (licking the donut glaze from each finger). I like that.

Trump moved to Florida on his own volition.

He was not fleeing from justice.

George Washington had a slave who fled within Pennsylvania. He had no legal right to reclaim her.

You act like it’s unreasonable to fire back with an insult after being insulted multiple times by the same person.

You also find it unreasonable to realize that some people are tired of the childish insults by Trump who is defended without question.

Your opinion of what’s right is just than an opinion not a absolute fact.

There ya go! Stamina, guts, determination, patriotic, stand, fight, know it will be rough.... Has DeSantis already wilted?
when walking into the firing squad, know they are after you if you stand for the nation and do what is right...

That is the issue, isn’t it. DeSantis has made something of the idea that he is “Trump without the bad stuff,” but maybe he is just a “kinder gentler” compassionate Bush “conservative.” We have seen how that works out.

It would never come to that and it shouldn’t, if Trump were indicted, he will fly to New York on his own plane and turn himself in.

Numerous articles have been posted here on FR about Trump wanting the spectacle of him in handcuffs being arrested.

Regardless of your beliefs about a potential indictment, no governor of any state would attempt to stop someone from being extradited to another state, as you have pointed out it’s unconstitutional and would be stopped by a Federal Court immediately.

There’s only one Trump. Often imitated, never duplicated.

RDS will benefit from the experience, and hopefully will grow sick of the Karl Roves of the world in time for 2028.

Gateway Pundit is quickly becoming irrelevant. Parroting big media. Ever saw the nbc/nyt/Trump alliance coming to be honest. I thought our base didn’t believe in the fake news.

This bickering is tiring. These two jerks should direct their childish tantrums at democrats, not fellow Republicans.

You know what's even more pathetic? I mean the ultimate most seriously pathetic? That 2020 BI report was fake news. It never happened.

I still say it's too soon to declare mortal wounds on candidates.

I predict that much of the LAAP-dog media reporting through the rest of 2023 will be driven by a psyops agenda to dry up major donor funds for the candidates that are the biggest threat to the left. All this DeSantis reporting is not about his chances of winning; it's about targeting the GOP Big Donors, trying to scare them off of funding a DeSantis campaign.

Consider 2015 when the reporting was how Jeb Bush was out front in Big Donor contributions, effectively starving the other candidates into dropping out or failing to get off the ground. Then comes Donald Trump who chose to self-fund during the primaries.

I can't tell yet if the LAAP-dog media thinks that DeSantis is the bigger threat or if President Trump is the weakest candidate. In either case, they know that Trump has the assets to continue, the built-in base to support him, the infrastructure to continue to reach out via his rallies, and the gravitas to withstand the LAAP-dog media onslaught of prosecutorial attacks on him.

DeSantis has enough time to continue to focus on big wins while governing Florida, such as rebuilding the damaged bridges during Hurricane Ian. In fact, it's possible that a 2024 mid-summer hurricane will hit Florida during the peak of the primary season and call DeSantis away from the campaign to focus on his state. It's also possible that the Democrats will overplay this and obstruct DeSantis' ability to act by weaponizing FEMA against Floridians who are impacted by such a hurricane.

A note regarding the posts about Florida requiring candidates to resign from their positions if they run for a new position:

(4)(a) Any officer who qualifies for federal public office must resign from the office he or she presently holds if the terms, or any part thereof, run concurrently with each other.
(b) The resignation is irrevocable.
(c) The resignation must be submitted at least 10 days before the first day of qualifying for the office he or she intends to seek.
(d) The written resignation must be effective no later than the earlier of the following dates:
1. The date the officer would take office, if elected; or
2. The date the officer’s successor is required to take office.
The governor of Florida doesn't have to resign to run for another office; he only has to resign if he wins the other office.

Both Trump and the porn star have testified under oath that they never had sex with each other. But you leftist liers never let the truth ruin your naritves.

Yeah, 1st she claimed they didn't and now she claims they did. The fact is Trump showed extremely poor judgement in hanging out with her and for associating himself with Michael Cohen.

...and not trusting the judgment of people who hang out with porn stars doesn't make me a leftist lier.

Hi.

You seem to be very busy lately regarding Florida.

Especially governor Desantis.

Hey, everyone has their obsession, far be it for me to judge.
