The claim that he lied to his lawyers and that this permits the attorney client privilege to be pierced, seems very odd.

Best I can make of it, you can’t use your attorney to commit a crime. So Trump tells his lawyers he searched for classified documents and didn’t find any. The lawyers repeat that to the court.

Now they have evidence that he was lying. Based on some employee’s testimony.

Very convoluted and not sure it would hold up on appeal.
