Prosecutor Ron DeSantis: An Enemy To J6 Political Prisoners
Substack ^ | 2.1.23 | Laura Loomer

Posted on 03/17/2023 6:05:33 PM PDT by conservative98

As January 2023 has concluded, it has officially been two years since the January 6th (J6) 2021 Stop the Steal protest in Washington DC. Over the last two years, hundreds of J6 political prisoners have continued to rot in prison, while their due process and right to a trial that consists of a jury of their peers has been denied. Many of the J6 defendants remain imprisoned under pretrial detention despite committing zero violent acts at the United States Capitol.

While there are J6 defendants and prisoners from all over the country, it is worth noting that Florida has the highest number of J6 defendants.

Among the chorus of DeSantis 2024 supporters, and the alleged paid social media influencers, many of which built their entire social media following by falsely presenting themselves as supporters of President Trump (while making boatloads of money off his name and selling MAGA merchandise) during his term in the White House, a new anti-Trump narrative is spreading, based off the despicable lie that Trump is solely to blame for the J6 political prisoners remaining behind bars.

“Trump could have pardoned them!” the DeSimps scream, despite the fact that the vast majority of those behind bars, and many who are still being targeted by the DOJ in their growing “criminal investigation” into what the DOJ refers to as the “J6 CAPITOL INSURRECTION”, were charged AFTER President Trump formally left office following the transition of power to the Biden administration.

Issuing a blanket, presidential pardon for non-violent actions on J6 would be a tacit admission that the J6 patriots did something wrong … which they didn’t!

But, the biggest hypocrisy in “DeSantis 2024” supporters attacking Donald Trump over January 6 is their refusal to admit and recognize the fact that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis supported the Capitol Police’s actions on January 6th, and he said he was in favor of J6 protesters being arrested and prosecuted for their Constitutionally protected right to protest and petition their government for grievances.

“I actually am glad to see some of these people being arrested from the DC thing, because I think the prosecutions will really make a difference. I think it was a really unfortunate thing,” DeSantis stated during a news conference in The Villages, where I recently ran for Congress as an America First Republican against pro-impeachment RINO career politician, Daniel Webster. It’s is worth noting that DeSantis and Webster once served in US Congress together, and DeSantis even endorsed Webster for Speaker of the House. Following January 6, 2021, Daniel Webster was one of the only Republicans who skipped the vote on the second impeachment of Donald Trump, and he was the only Republican member of Congress who skipped the vote on Nancy Pelosi’s Soviet style, January 6 Select Committee which was the driving force behind the second impeachment of Donald Trump.

But, after all, why would @GovRonDeSantis help these J6 political prisoners who are being tortured?

His job during the Iraq War was to oversee the torture of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. And, he allowed Capitol Police to enter FL after J6 to hunt down & arrest Trump Supporters.

Many of the J6 political prisoners have spent months in solitary confinement, and in abhorrent conditions. In one instance, the wife of a J6 prisoner from Florida described how her husband has been denied medical treatment for his cancer while being detained and jailed for participating in J6.

During a press conference, his wife thanked President Donald Trump for supporting her, her family, and the families of other J6 prisoners. She added that she has repeatedly called and left messages for her Governor, Ron DeSantis, in which she asked and begged for his help. “I’m from Florida. Nobody from Florida, Governor DeSantis hasn’t even reached out to us,” the prisoner’s wife told reporters during a press conference.

DeSantis only said the ones who are guilty of violence need to go to jail.

Correct.

Or, you can believe Trump that it was 100% peaceful.

“So you really think those are “Trump” people in at that clip? Do you they are among those in the gulag? Your TDS has poisoned your brain.”

It’s not TDS, it’s his assignment. Two things are now CLEAR with the release of the Jan 6th tapes:

1) The people who instigated and committed virtually all of the violence were government operatives, since they weren’t arrested - started with Ray Epps, but many others, both identified and not identified.

2) For the 500 pleading guilty when the choice is either 2 years (more) in jail, or roll the dice with a DC JURY and face 10+ years in jail when you lose...pleading ‘guilty’ doesn’t mean jack when under that level of duress.

So the claims above CLEARLY indicate a person who has a purpose here, and that is to attack Trump supporters.

Does DeSantis mention that some of those arrested still sit in jail unconstitutionally without a timely trial? I haven't heard him.

https://fox17.com/news/nation-world/love-in-the-air-trump-stokes-jan-6-conspiracy-theories-fact-check-finds

Trump described his supporters that day in glowing terms.

“The crowd was unbelievable,” he said Sunday. “And I mentioned the word ‘love.’ The love — the love in the air, I have never seen anything like it.”

Where did you read that? If true, that’s great but I’m relatively certain that it would have been ‘leaked’ out by a family member by now if it was happening.

Y’know ,if people still want to be super Trump fans that’s fine. It’s a free country - at least for awhile longer, maybe. And it’s no skin offa my nose.

But some of us got tired of trying to come up with excuses for failure. And it’s true what Trump bragged about - how he could gun down a passerby on a busy NY street and his fervent fans would praise him for it.

“It’s good what you done - real good.” -

Need way more context. He most likely was talking about the people at his rally.

President Trump was talking about his supporters. Those shown are not his supporters. They are ANTIFA. But you are aware of that.

Pleading guilty to lesser charges in the kangaroo court system in the District of Columbia is pragmatic on the part of many of the prisoners, who largely came from modest financial circumstances and took the advice of counsel provided by the court. The pro bono lawyers probably sympathize with the regime more than the defendants.

How many of the people you show in the GIF are Federal agents or Antifa or BLM thugs, disguised as Trump supporters?

You’re the one making the claim...prove it. Can’t prove it? It’s not true.

I said I read trump is helping j6 families financially.

I don’t need to prove it, nor convince you.

You asked a question. I tried to point you in a direction.

I simply do not care whether you follow it or not, whether you believe it or not, whether you prefer to automatically deny it.

Do as you wish 🤗

What has DeSantis said about the Jan. 6 insurrection?

https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2022/07/13/what-has-desantis-said-about-the-jan-6-insurrection/

U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate, criticized Gov. Ron DeSantis for his “silence” on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“Ron DeSantis still hasn’t condemned the Jan. 6 insurrection,” Crist said in a tweet in late June. Crist has repeated such rhetoric at least seven times on Twitter.

Immediately after the attack, lawmakers — both Republicans and Democrats — publicly criticized the people who incited the violence.

DeSantis issued a statement on Jan. 6, 2021, condemning the Capitol riot: “Violence or rioting of any kind is unacceptable, and the perpetrators must face the full weight of the law.”

“It was totally unacceptable and those folks need to be held accountable,” DeSantis said. “It doesn’t matter what banner you’re flying under — the violence is wrong, the rioting and disorder is wrong.”

Although DeSantis denounced the violence and disorder on Jan. 6, 2021, he hasn’t called it an insurrection and has decried the media’s coverage.

On the anniversary of the Capitol riot, DeSantis likened Jan. 6 to “Christmas” for “D.C.-New York media,” saying the incident lets news outlets create “narratives that are negative” about former President Donald Trump’s supporters.

“They are going to take this and milk this for anything they could to try to be able to smear anyone who ever supported Donald Trump,” DeSantis said at a news conference.

“When they try to act like this is something akin to the Sept. 11 attacks, that is an insult to the people who were going into those buildings,” DeSantis said. “And it’s an insult to people when you say it’s an ‘insurrection’ and then, a year later, nobody has been charged with that.”

Still, DeSantis maintained that holding Jan. 6 participants accountable for their actions was appropriate: “Look, if you obstruct a proceeding, you’ve got to hold people accountable, hold rioting accountable.”

However, referring to House Select Committee hearings, DeSantis said Democrats were “beating a dead horse” and trying to “divert attention” from inflation.

“Gov. DeSantis stands for law and order,” Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’ press secretary, told PolitiFact. “He has always condemned all rioting and unlawful behavior, regardless of any political affiliations.”

DeSantis has been careful not to characterize the incident as an insurrection. On the riot’s anniversary, DeSantis said labeling the incident an insurrection and likening it to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks is “an insult.”
