A 60-year-old black man was arrested in Atlanta last month after he allegedly vandalized a historic Baptist church with spray-painted imagery of swastikas as a hanging.
Atlanta Police arrested James McIntyre on February 19 in connection to the vandalism after surveillance cameras caught him tagging Providence Missionary Baptist Church on Benjamin E. Mays Drive, according to Fox 5. Officials said that during the investigation, they found McIntyre sitting across the street from the scene of the crime.

I live in the burbs of Atlanta. This story was news for about 2 cycles. I guess after they found it was a usual suspect it was sh**canned.

What does the phrase "as a hanging" mean in this context? I looked at the photographs, and I don't see any nooses. And there are no decorative hangings: everything is painted on solid posts and doors.

You are 100% right. There’s almost no white on black racism so some black people have to make it up. I do see a lot of black racism against white people and others. The people they catch committing these hoaxes should get punished severely. This guy will probably get probation for what I consider a hate crime.

In the thirties you never found fake anti-Semitism in Germany because there was plenty of genuine Jew-hatred to go around.
