Ted was born in Canada because his father and mother were hiding out from Jim Garrison’s investigation of Clay Shaw’s involvement with the JFK assassination. That is probably why his mother did not register him as a US citizen, born abroad, like she did for the child she had while stationed in London, years before. None of this makes any difference as far as Senator Cruz is concerned, unless he tries to run for President.
