An argument can be made that the monarch must stay out of politics and controversies. I cannot accept that argument when it comes to things like the decades-long Muslim sexual abuse of children.
If the monarch cannot or will not act in such cases, then I see no value in the monarchy.
Don't forget about the tourist attraction money of the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and the beauty of Westminster Abbey, etc.
