Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie has died aged 79, her family has said in a statement.
On Facebook, they said: "On behalf of Christine McVie's family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine's death.
"She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness.
"She was in the company of her family.
"We kindly ask that you respect the family's privacy at this extremely painful time and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally. RIP Christine McVie."

and he was quite conservative, great singer too.
Husband John McVie was a horrible drunk at the time and cheating on her.
Damned shame Stevie took to sleeping with women after her breakup with Don Henley. But after the control freaks Buckingham and Henley I guess she gave up on men.
Christine and Stevie both later said the same thing, don’t be in a band with your significant other, it will kill the relationship.
“I liked Fleetwood Mac before Buckingham/Nicks joined the group. But the music took on a whole different aspect once they joined.”
Oh yeah!
Look into the making of the Tusk album, the one right after Rumours. Lindsey had been trying to get the band to experiment a little. With their personal lives in turmoil and everyone dog tired they handed Lindsey a bunch of songs and told him to go play with them.
Lindsey took the same approach Brian Wilson did for Pet Shop Sounds and went and experimented with vocals and instruments in different places producing different sounds. He then tried to reproduce the sounds he really liked in the studio. Definitely a different sound!
Too bad the band was on it’s last legs.
I’ve been to Mick Fleetwood’s restaurant in Maui a couple of times. The second time we ate on the rooftop. Very nice.

Don’t remember which member of the group said this but their reaction to the Clinton’s using “Don’t Stop” as campaign theme had them baffled. They said the song was about a breakup.

Uh, you are talking about one of my favorite albums. But the name of the album is PET SOUNDS; there is no “SHOP” in the title at all. Brian Wilson would have you publicly flogged for that!

Not sure how I screwed that pooch, but I did.
I will submit myself to His Majesty Brian Wilson and await my deserved humiliation.
Brian really went the distance for PET SOUNDS.
I read where he wanted the drums recorded in a certain place because he loved the sound there. Guitars were recorded elsewhere and vocals in a third place.
A great album!
Unfortunately the guys in the band wanted more of the stuff they had been doing. They were scared of change I guess.
Think what could have been if they had let Brian go to work with his new sounds.
I had forgotten Welch was the one Buckingham replaced. Yeah, if Bob had stayed Buckingham/Nicks would have been on their own.
Me too. McVie had obviousy had vocal training. I’m a former musician and singer and I can tell she had training. The best song style is called “Belle Canto’’ and it takes years to learn it.
Nicks on the other hand had a pretty good voice to start
with but she later began singing from the throat and it changed her style and not for the better.
I’m not denying that. My comment was in response to another poster who claimed she seemed to be the least troubled of the group, and I was backing up my response with an example.
I think they were all troubled fairly equally.
It’s the only way they can stop these octogenarians from touring.
There is a video on Youtube about the recording of — in my opinion — the best song on the album: God Only Knows. It shows the recording sessions, etc. Paul McCartney once said that God Only Knows was his favorite song, and the greatest song ever written.
