In his 2015 escalator speech, Trump declared war on those who sold out the US to China and Mexico.
The Deep State had to destroy him.
Because he largely self-funded his campaign, Trump arrived in office in 2017 without political debts to pay. He could faithfully carry out his Constitutional duty to preserve and protect the nation.
OTOH, I fear that my super governor DeSantis would be owned by those who financed his presidential campaign.

Like a lot of things about DeSantis, but haven't heard much from him about his policies concerning China. China is a game changer for me and Trump is one of the few to advocate changing many of our trade polices and policies toward China in general.
Was hoping for a Trump/DeSantis ticket in 2024, but that isn't looking very likely for now, but things can change.
DeSantis needs to drop this guy and then I will believe he isn’t for GOPe.
