Max Blumenthal implies that the affluence of American Jews undermines the justification for the existence of the State of Israel... Candace jumps right in and appears to endorse this opinion. Is she going full anti-Semitic justifying her propping up of a rapper she has befriended? Is supporting Israel really just another form of 'political correctness' or grievance mongering? Interested in your opinions.

Here is what liberal Max Blumenthal said:
We American Jews are living through a golden age of power, affluence and safety
Acceptance of this welcome reality threatens the entire Zionist enterprise, from lobby fronts like the ADL to the State of Israel, because Zionism relies on Jewish insecurity to justify itself
So the ADL is a front Zionist enterprise?
Sounds like he’s the one ripping into Zionism.
Excellent points.
Yep.
He is definitely ‘ripping into Zionism’ as is his right... the question I’m asking is: Is ‘support for the State of Israel’ just another form of political correctness?.. that is what Candace implies by making her comparison....
As long as the ADL is allowed to set the standard, anyone that doesn’t support global communism is anti-Semitic. Best thing Americans can do is ignore these charges and carry forward in pursuit of American interests.
Repeat after me: I love George Soros, I love Harvey Weinstein, I love Jeffrey Epstein, I love Jennifer Rubin on and on.
Your question though doesn’t reflect her comments.
Urban-ism has a lot to do with whether people hold ‘liberal’ or ‘leftist’ opinions. For various cultural and historical reasons most Jews are urban... it’s very much a city mouse vs. country mouse phenomenon....
Yes... I’m starting to see I should have just posted both tweets and asked for opinions, since that was actually my intent...
Why is it necessary to trash Owens?
I like Candace a lot. I don’t like this reply she gave though...
And how do her comments justify a title of “anti-Israel screed”?
You’ve asked questions but haven’t justified her comments being anti-Israel.
Just because there is an election doesn’t mean a person has to shut up. She didn’t diss anyone.
I don’t read it all like that. Max B is saying that some Jewish Orgs rely on Jewish victimization as a fundraising lever (I am pro-Israel in a major way, but that’s a factual statement). They are worried those groups don’t turn on him for saying it out loud.
What is the definition of “anti-Semitic”, anyway?
Is it a bias against some shadowy oligarchy of bankers and financiers who may have a Jewish ancestry, but are practicing atheists, or is against some very religious and practicing scholars of the Torah who meet in synagogues to chant and praise their Creator, or is it the Israeli Mossad that is a high-level arm of the government of Israel, or is it the Anti-Defamation League that operates as a sort of paramilitary unit that hunts down expressions of what they consider to be “hate crimes” or “hate speech” to expose to the rest of the public?
Trying to assign identical traits to EVERY member of a minority is an exercise in futility, insofar as it may be practiced. As with all other ethnic groups, there is a very wide spectrum of behavior among the people known collectively as “Jews”, and the very bad behavior of one or a small group within that demographic is in no way a reflection on the behavior of of the great and abiding numbers of the remaining category.
Showing a dislike for a specific person of Jewish descent is in no way “anti-Semitic”, despite all the efforts put into picturing it that way. Some people are just despicable regardless of their heritage.
Thanks for stirring the $**t with this thread and your subsequent comment.
We need more $**t-stirrers on FR.
How does $8 a piece strike ya?
Her comments don’t.. I clearly say she was replying to it, not making the comment... there is little absolute about it.. I say ‘appears’... then I opened it to your opinions because to be honest I am unable to form an opinion about it. My view is colored by seeing ‘Ye’ as a loose cannon and I suspect that made me take a more negative view of it than I normally would have... given her recent association with him.
Like Harvey Weinstein and Soros. Despicable.
You’re welcome.
