Right, but by definition a tactical nuke "ONLY" goes up to about twice the yield of those bombs, and if the Russkies go after Ukie purely high-value military targets, chances are they're out in the boonies, so they're just gonna burn up a bunch of wheatland as collateral damage (plus have the fallout blow into Russia).

Moscow certainly has a numbers advantage against the United States and NATO. The Russians have around 2,000 tactical nuclear weapons while the Americans have only 200 with 100 deployed in Europe and the remaining stored at home. That’s a ten to one advantage.

Part of Russian war strategy was the use of tactical nukes in war with NATO. However, studies by think tanks both left and right think such an exchange would soon escalate to intercontinental thermonuclear war and both sides are destroyed. If this is accurate tactical nukes have little value in a war with NATO and would be Armageddon. The real question is what our response would be if any, to Russia using tactical nukes in the Ukraine. I do not know.

This could get out of hand.
