In the last couple of years, there has been a lot of attention on the build-up of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). It has undergone a major modernization effort and is now the largest naval force in the world. Just last month, the PLAN launched its third aircraft carrier – the second to be entirely indigenously built. This will allow China to flex its muscles in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
Likewise, there has been great speculation regarding China’s efforts to develop a capable fifth-generation fighter aircraft and a medium- to long-range stealth bomber. In very short order, Beijing has finally made the great leap forward to become a major world power.

How are those cheaper prices working out for everyone?
And, of course, the entire Democratic party is following in lockstep.
The government’s goal was to separate China from the Soviet Union. The US government thought that if they opened up China it would go the way of Taiwan and become a democracy. But the CCP had watched what happened in Taiwan and they took control of all the things that would keep them in power as the people got richer. As things started to spiral out of control in 2020, they clamped down. Billions of dollars had fled to the US and other countries as the Chinese who could get their money out of China did so. Now it is almost impossible for any money to leave. Even companies that are making money in China can’t convert their Chinese money into anything else. It boggles the mind that any Western companies have stayed.
China has integrated itself into the world economy much like a cancer. It took over things like drugs and hospital supplies. Now, it is very hard to undo that. It will take recapitalization just as money is getting harder to find and more expensive to borrow. The China gambit was a mistake that should have been corrected right after the Soviet Union failed. But too many people were making too much money off the slave labor.
Of course, this is perfect hindsight.
Our Navy is very busy studying transgender pronouns. There is no time left to protect America.
China is a paper superpower like Russia used to be. And then the Russian military turned out to be a dud. I will bet much of China’s weaponry, which in large part happen to be reverse engineered Russian crap, will fare just as poorly in actual battle.
No. Huawei owns most of the 5G network backbone in the US - it all reports back to the CCP. Only a small portion is supplied by Qualcomm, Broadcom and some others.
And some dumb butts will stand up and cheer for this.
When I said that the only way to disarm us would be to use the ChiCom military I never expected them to do it.
“…China’s weaponry, which in large part happen to be reverse engineered Russian crap,…”

I’ll correct that for you:

I’d just as soon not find out first hand, but our compromised and feckless leadership invites them to give it a go
A picture of a intermediate range ballistic missile impact on an outline of a carrier in the Gobi Desert.
China claims this means they can take on the U.S. Navy.
The Navy is between amused and confused, not worried.

How does the US Navy protect a carrier from an intermediate range ballistic missile?
You know this how?
In REALITY, the US Navy, Army and Air Force are VERY concerned about China's military capabilities. They know a LOT more than some guy posting on the Internet.
One YUGE issue about using ballistic missiles as a nuclear power, even with conventional warheads, is how does those being targeted know that?
They don't.
We have built a world-wide and space network of sensors that let us know immediately when a ballistic missile is fired.
How do we know one or two such missiles are not going to be followed by a mass attack?
We don't.
So if we allow a nuclear power to launch an attack on us without releasing our own nuclear missiles our missiles will be destroyed in their own silos.
We have about 10-15 minutes to decide to launch ours or lose them. It is our strategy to fire on first launch.
OTHERWISE, we are encouraging an enemy to launch a few at a us, like we did when we put all our battleships and carriers in Pearl Harbor in 1941.
Imagine if we were able to see the Imperial Japanese Navy fleet of 6 carriers coming to the Northwest of Hawaii the first week of December 1941, and we let them know we saw them. They'd probably hold up. It had to be a surprise without any ability of the US to find them and fight back before they attacked.
That's what Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) is really all about.
Imagine a hit like that on a nuclear carrier in port.
I would bet the US Navy is VERY concerned about their ability to do that. The ship would be a harder target at sea, but still......
How to Hide a Task Force on the NORPAC 82 exercise. One of the many ways Reagan made Russia nervous.
China has the democrat party and a potential army of tens of millions illegal aliens. Promise them free stuff and they’ll march for China.
Granting China entry to the WTO and offshoring so much of our manufacturing to the ChiComs in the mistaken belief economic prosperity would somehow transform China into a democracy is America’s biggest strategic error.
Now we have become so dependent on China producing our products because they have the industrial capacity and we don’t anymore.
God help the US if we go to war with China.
