So sad that this young man lost his life. RIP, young Sir. You did the right thing. No, he did NOT do the right thing. What he did got him killed, and put his girlfriend at extreme risk of being killed. He should have called 911 or called local authorities.
I admit that I might have made exactly the same mistake he did.
