I see no way that whatever can be made to stick to Hunter will not spatter onto Joey. They cannot allow that process to even hint at getting started. Thus, I see nothing sticking to Hunter beyond tax evasion, and yeah, he may have to cough up some high civil penalties. But that kind of prosecution can be confined to Hunter and Hunter only, leaving Joe unscathed and unsullied. I don’t think the DOJ will ever allow any sort of CCP espionage or bribery prosecution. They will just wall that kind of thing off and it will never get official exposure.
