I was once a member of the Uniting Church here in Australia. Former Methodists, Congregationalists and Presbyterians they proudly called themselves “People of the Book”. In the end I had to ask “ What book might that be? It certainly isn’t the Bible”
“This change was really driven by Emory students”
Maybe leaving the adults in charge would have been a better idea.
Did you ever get an answer? 🤗
Either it’s God’s word or it not. If it is, that is a dangerous game to mess with. If it is not, why are you bothering with this nonsense anyway.

Exactly- They created gods in their own image- gods that don’t mind sin- whatever particular sins that church is trying to soft peddle- so that they won’t be condemned by their own gods while pretending to be Christians
More insanity.
“If you’re a Christian and concerned about pronouns,...”
Other than the abuse of existing ones, and the contrivance of fake ones, is there a truly “Christian” reason to be concerned about pronouns?
Well, that’s another “Christian” college I won’t be recommending to the younger folks I know.
Not Christian = Christ like Christ!
Since “God” assumes masculine gender, I’m surprised they didn’t change it to “Zod”.
Actually, I expect that to happen very soon.
Emory is and always has been far left. I remember their anti Nuke protests in the 80s. The students voted to stock cyanide in the evident of a nuclear war.
Emory is Christian?
Long long time ago.
No language has a specific pronoun for each person. Even names are generally not unique. Surely there must be thousands of John Jones in the world. Most first and last names are not unique, so it’s either Mary Brown and Barbara Smith or Barbara Brown and Mary Smith.
But we have trouble remembering names. Ever started a new job and been introduced to a dozen people all at once? I used to jot them down with a little mnemonic next to them.
Sometimes we forget a person’s name, and they sympathize because it is not easy.
But with “preferred pronouns” there’s no sympathizing. If you don’t use the “preferred pronouns” you are condemned for committing sexual harassment, and referred to the police. (This is about to happen big time). You are blackballed and fired.
I have to give the left credit. They found a way to destroy the most basic fundamentals of our culture and clamp down a new round of fascism on us by inventing this silly pronoun thing. It’s not a silly pronoun thing, it’s to destroy us.
Methodists... ‘nuff said.
This school is no longer Christian. Period. God created man and woman, period.
Emory ceased being a Christian university a looooooonnnngggg time ago.
Emory is not a Christian university or college.
I had to laugh when LinkedIn added this option. Of course, a few of the turd who post there jumped right on the bandwagon. I’m glad, because I know to avoid those members like the plague.
