Under the Jamaican Constitution she is Jamaican by descent through her father. (Section 3.2. Look it up.)
Both parents were here on student visas; someone who worked at a college in the 60s said that they told people on these visa's that their children would not automatically be U.S. Citizens. I have no idea this. The current legal spew is that if you are born here you are a U.S. Citizen.
