Yes. But he’s not going to win in any of the major cities in California. That state is a lost cause.
He better move to a more conservative area of that state. He might have a chance ( Forget San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose, Sacramento or even San Diego ).

Dunno. If Elder runs as a Republican, he could do what Jesse Jackson did for the Dems in the 80s and get blacks registered to vote Republican. After losing the primary to Trump, he would endorse him and hope to bring his constituents with him. I love the idea of a black guy hammering the Dems for everything they haven't done for minorities and getting air time for it.
