The plight of female basketball star Brittney Griner relating to her arrest on drug charges in Russia earlier this year is even more uncertain than ever. Yesterday in a court near Moscow, the legal prosecution of Ms. Griner finally began, with her trial kicking off in an abbreviated session. Prosecutors had intended to call on four witnesses, but only two showed up to give testimony.
Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom, but footage of Griner entering the proceedings showed her sporting a white and black Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. Media reports after the court had adjourned explained that during her time in the courtroom, Griner was kept inside of a metal jail where she had cookies and water available as refreshments.

Her lawyer needs to send her some better clothing, something more appropriate for a plaintiff in a foreign courtroom.
She’s gonna have to get used to a new rug.
She’ll get a fairer trial there than the Jan 6 protestors are getting here.
I have no trouble checking in bags. I travel in office casual clothes and am well groomed when going through customs. If you're worried about someone tampering with your checked luggage, you can always get it wrapped in plastic.
Defendant not plaintiff.
There’s a drinking age in Ireland?
“Right, 10 yrs. hard labor in Siberia sounds good”
Oh I dunno about all that...all I’m saying is American rights and freedoms don’t travel with you just because your an American in a foreign country...and that country has every right to enforce their laws.
Wether that enforcement is excessive is another discussion.
“There’s a drinking age in Ireland?”
Yeah I think it’s kindergarten
“female basketball star “
ain’t no such thing as a female basketball star.
>>Does no one ever watch “Midnight Express” anymore?
Watched that as a kid, and definitely made me conscious as an adult to pay attention to laws when traveling in other countries.
...and then watching ‘Fatal Attraction’ made me very conscious of staying away from crazy women once married...lol.
I saw that movie with my girlfriend on Halloween. We broke up immediately after seeing the movie. I thought that Glen Close's character was a lot more calm and rational than my girlfriend.
Can she wiggle her toes like Che?
There was a Fleadh in Tobercurry. Lots of drunken people in the streets, mostly young. The boy’s younger sister was calling him in tears, parents were on their own vacation & she had babysitter issues.
We looked for the boys until 3am & couldn’t find them. Next day we drove to Shannon & flew home. Drinking age is 18 in Ireland but I was worried about being picked up for brawling or disorderly as well. If a guest lies to you and you have parental responsibility the game is over at least for us.

She’ll do a few years under the care and sex therapy of Vasily, Drogan and Antonin -the 300 lb male guards assigned to her solitary cell. They can’t put her in Gen Pop because she’s an out lesbian and therefore a threat to the other female inmates
I was on a school trip to Acapulco and Mexico City back in high school. As there was no drinking age in Mexico, students were allowed to drink alcoholic beverages, but they were expected to behave. There were a handful of students who were busted by the chaperones for possession or consumption of marijuana. Their parents were called, and told to meet their kids on the Mexican side of the border when the busses got there. Everyone else transferred to the American busses and continued on home. I guess nowadays we probably would have flown on low cost airlines and spent more time at our destination. Still I am glad they were taken off the bus in Reynosa, because I wouldn't want to have to face heightened scrutiny entering the US due to them.
How’s that black libtard get out of jail free privilege working out for you over there? 🤪
She plays for a Russian Team during the WNBA off season. Many wnba players do. They get paid more there doing that then they do playing in the WNBA. If memory serves
