This is why you find a LOCAL cattle producer and buy off the hiof and have processed. I’ll never buy beef in the store again. Get the pork we eat locally also

The video shows many cattle Dead Right There . DRT with little struggle. Electric shock could do that. Not likely that poison gas would do that without some signs of animals at the edge of a toxic cloud.

Heat doesn’t kill everyone in place. Neither does infection. In both cases, there is agonal struggle.

It is devastating for anyone who has had care and custody of these cattle.

Depends on the cattle. Some do not do well in heat. Heat stress kills a lot of livestock

Will my pod have an accurate thermostat?
Are the pods available in enough different colors to allow
us to express our individuality?

Neon pods? Neutral earth tones? Rainbow pods? Paisley? Floral paisley?
Will our pods allow us to apply different skins, themes and wallpapers?
Transparent pods for exhibitionists?
Pod Decor of the Month Club???

So many questions / issues....

They’re blaming a “Heat Wave”

Doesn't Kansas always have hot summers?

The cattle have been placed there by the skid steer, likely to transport to burial site, or burial right there after a big hole is dug.

Why not cook them?

Black cattle, crowded pens, high humidity and temps running 90 to 108 for highs. Very stressful. It was 108 at my house 1 hour from that mess Monday. I have no livestock and did not work out in it.

There are feedlots in the area that run 100,000 head or more. We are coming up on a major holiday and these cattle were likely soon to go to the packers. Prime beef.

How much does insurance cover a loss like this?

But there are cattle ranches in Arizona and New Mexico where it’s even hotter.

Just exactly what do folks think the temperatures are in cattle country in Texas?

Its been a 100 degrees or close all week in Northern Ks where I work and there haven’t been any dead cattle. Im not buying it being heat related.

The answer is yes. The cattle that died were packing at least 1” back fat and had no means to dissipate the heat load as a result of several factors. High day and night temps, humidity and no wind.

I work with the quoted Vet. First rate professional.

Yup. This should be easily solved. Some type of poisoning or illness.
Cattle don’t die from 90 degree heat.
