Texas Police Lieutenant Says Cops Were Reluctant to Engage Gunman Because ‘They Could’ve Been Shot
The active shooter situation, you want to stop the killing, you want to preserve life, but also one thing that – of course, the American people need to understand — that officers are making entry into this building. They do not know where the gunman is. They are hearing gunshots. They are receiving gunshots. At that point, if they proceeded any further not knowing where the suspect was at, they could’ve been shot, they could’ve been killed, and that gunman would have had an opportunity to kill other people inside that school.
C O W A R D S.
So they haven’t been trained how to clear a building?
Heroine Angeli Rose Gomez drove 40 miles to the school, got handcuffed and then released, jumped a fence, ran into the school, grabbed her two children and got them out.
No training, no firearm, no body armor, no tacti-clown team, and no "intel".
She proved what could be done.
“…they could’ve been killed, and that gunman would have had an opportunity to kill other people inside that school.“
So in order to prevent the gunman killing whomever he wants they stand back and let him kill whomever he wanted…?
I try not to judge what someone does when they are being attacked. People react differently. But I am sure their training was structured to de-sensitize them to that shock.
I know my cop friends wear their body armor all the time. My friends who are plainclothes have their armor in close proximity.
Going into an active shooter situation without armor is just a waste of time.
