I don’t know why wearing a vest isn’t the default part of the uniform. They can always keep the car on full blast for air-conditioning.

I’m amazed if a vest isn’t standard for anyone on patrol. I know it is for the cops in my higher-end Atlanta suburb.

quite a few LEOs with tactical gear, including two US Marshall\s. At least two LEOs wearing tactical gear that included a helmet. And they all stood around waiting for a special team from Border Patrol.
