Is this all an over reaction?
From the Economist Magazine:
America is teetering on the brink of economic catastrophe, and if we go, they all go.
If true, this is truly worrying. A catastrophe of Biblical proportions. Are the End Times here?
And if we know it’s coming, how about being proactive in meeting it and mitigating it?!
I would have expected most people here at Free Republic began making plans for what is coming when Bath House Barry the Muslim was installed. My Family did.
I hope it’s an overreaction.
Meanwhile, I have stocked up on beans, rice, tuna, grits, cashews, pasta, Ragu and teriyaki sauce.
The global scum don’t want a solution — they want death.
“a food Marshall Plan”? Where do you get the food? I don’t see any excess production anywhere on the planet.
The world seems to have been virtually shrunk where everything is so close together, with complex inter-dependencies, that the incompatible elements (China, USA, Russia, Islam, etc.) will explode and expose just how vulnerable this “global economy” really is. Everything is “lean” and “just in time”...until it isn’t.
We’re far too dependent on China. Corporate strategies always drive to squeeze more profit and the consumer always chooses the cheapest item. We’ve been taking advantage of Chinese slave labor - which is what it is, their government has basically pimped out their peasants as global slaves - and now it could well come back to bite us hard. Our politicians sellout our country, enriching themselves. I swear the Ukraine is a money laundry service for them.
We’re all responsible. I also think it is inevitable that it falls apart, call it Biblical as it is predictable.
“The global scum don’t want a solution — they want death.”
That is a valid globalist solution.
trump could fix all this asap.
but creepy uncle joe? no way.
The funny part is, there is enough food, but there is going to be a famine because everyone is going to hoard it or because the locations that need it can’t pay.
What he have here is not enough capitalism.
And in answer to the End Times question, your tag line.
A pound of Walmart flour each day for 365 days costs about $120.
And any government food distribution will NOT be to the red counties.
Until it doesn’t. Either due to price increases or unavailability
