I'm releasing this exchange because it's the backstory to understand why Tucker recently had on Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote. She was instructed not to mention "2000 Mules" even though the movie was out and the whole discussion centered around the material in the movie...
The story goes back to early February when I produced a teaser trailer for the upcoming film. Tucker invited Catherine to come on the show and she recommended they run the teaser trailer to go with her interview. Everything seemed all set until...
One of Tucker's producers--a guy named Alex--told me they couldn't run the 90 second trailer. They wanted to use just 45 seconds. Turned out they wanted to cut out my name, Salem Media, and any reference to the movie....
So basically they wanted to steal our content and pretend like they had produced it. I politely said no. I had earlier clarified with Alex that they should either use the full teaser trailer or not. Yet my refusal to let them go ahead provoked the following exchange...

Producers edit material all the time and as mentioned here, Tucker would have given the film a shout out. This is crybaby stuff.
Justin Wells is a total a-hole. Dinesh should cut ties with the network for good. Why does he even go there ?
Because he gets more great interviews on Fox than he'd get anywhere else.
Very petty. Explains why none of the FOX hosts are running the movie’s story.
If this guy speaks for Tucker and Tucker agrees, then I will not watch another show of his until there is some apology to D’Souza.
The man was rude, obnoxious and foul mouthed. He should be fired.
Tucker is trying to run a show with content that inflamed the left. He has guts to do this. He doesn’t need anyone from outside knocking him,
but here is an ally of ours, carrying a huge message and the producer blasts him.
Shows me clearly that even Fox is a joke. All of them. It’s all show then? You guys are not going to show anything about the 2000MULES? THEN FINE, I’M TURNING YOU OFF AS OF NOW.
Did you read the exchanges? Salem did not want it cut
Dinesh being an ego-hogging a-hole doesn’t help anyone.
He either wants the information to have the widest possibile distribution or he doesn’t...sounds like the latter.
That’s what happens every time conservatives get wrapped up in how smart they are, they get greedy. Ref. “Tea Party Movement”...
WT,
There’s nothing on any network that isn’t for sale or for a price. Most folks ought to remember that.
Media is business. Period.
We, like you, look to non-affiliated or self- produced media, that way a bit of research on professional sites will quickly provide a point of reference into their bent.
Everyone holds a bias or perspective. Knowing it means something.
My bias happens to be a biblical world view, I observe everything through that lens to my best ability.
People are missing the point here. The point is Rupert Murdoch, his sons and their wives hate Donald Trump and they will block anything that pushes the Trump narrative. However if they can use something to promote their own network without pushing Trump’s narrative they will do it. And that’s what they tried to do here.
right to contract and protect your work is basic Americanism enshrined on the constitution. Good job Denesh.
If this guy, Wells, talks like that in person, he probably has had his ass beaten more than once. I know he doesn’t.
The adage goes: Internet hero, in person, likely a zero.
Agree!
It is Dinesh’s fault. He should have let them use a truncated trailer.
Because they don’t do the same when it’s CNN... or any other network.
DSouza for some odd reason doesn’t share what he said and did to lead up to the producers response, especially this part “ And never try to bully my team again.”
Never throw a prima donna holy screaming sh1tfit at somebody’s workers demanding this or that - if they have a boss who looks after them and who isn’t a wuss, he’s not gonna forget it.
They all buy into their own hype. “The most watched show blah blah blah”. So was Bill O’Reilly before that. You have a good time slot on a major network. Go start tucker tv and see how well you do.
45 seconds is actually pretty generous. 90 seconds is a long trailer.
