The war won’t last years. It will be over this year.

And “NATO is set to expand again, bringing in Finland and Sweden”
NATO didn’t force Finland and Sweden. Rather, Russia has pushed them into joining NATO

My thoughts are that the Dimjo Regime believe WWlll will bail out their financial crisis similar to what they believe WWll did for Roosevelt & the Great Depression.

If Russia was doing what the U.S. and its allies are doing in Ukraine, in Mexico or Canada, in addition to the unprecedented economic war being waged, these hawks in D.C. would have pulled the aforementioned nuclear trigger months ago.

Nice layer cake of bull excrement. Let me know when the US invades Canada or Mexico to seize territory.

The Russians have decided to completely upend the post-WWII consensus that there would be no more aggressive war to seize territory from one state by another, especially in Europe. Men were hanged at Nuremberg for doing so.

If you think Russia has rights to a "sphere of influence" in Eastern Europe you are promoting a return to the great power politics that preceded both world wars. That didn't work out too well then, and I don't think it would work out too well again.

This war has to be made so painful that Russia will never try it again. The fact that Russia is making debt payments means they are expecting a resolution to this conflict, not an escalation on their side, although if the Ukrainians begin to re-take territory, I'm not sure what they will decide to do.
