Yes; for example, in the UK it is much easier to win a defamation case than in the US.

In any case, our First Amendment freedoms protect us from *government* censorship, not private censorship. If you doubt that, try trashing your (private, nonunion) employer in a very public way and see how long you have a job.

The idea that British authorities will be able to prevent their people from seeing what is on a website is a testament to how childish and stupid those authorities are.

It ends up being EU wide, and yes, I know UK is not in the EU or the EEA or EFTA.

Proposed Digital Services Act - amending Directive 2000/31/EC

They all claim to promote free speech, then proceed to carve "speech" in the "free" part and the "regulated/forbiden" part. Everybody gets all the free speech the government allows. What could be more free than that?
