In view of the mere two tanks "taken out" in the past 24 hours, it might be appropriate to remember that, of the estimated 1200 Russian tanks initially "in play," roughly half have - in the meantime - been removed from Ukraine and are currently transiting Russia, on their way to the Donbass Front.

There have been somewhat break in fighting as both sides are regrouping.

I am wondering if the massive WWII style offensive predicted for the Donbas might turn out to have been more bark than bite.

Daylight is burning, and 9 May is approaching. Western Military assistance is shifting toward more offensive weaponry for the Ukrainians - combat vehicles and artillery.

If the Russian forces don’t get off their butts soon, the next phase might be Ukrainian offensives, rather than Russian.
