I’ve had a TracPhone flip phone from Walmart for years, best $9.99 ever spent with free upgrades (they sent a replacement phone for one I lost then another one when they went to 4G both free).
Can you text on a Trac phone?
I have an old TracFone, aka CrapFone. My sister has one too, and it recently stopped working when her city switched on 5G. I’m out in the boonies, so no 5G yet. I’ve been thinking of switching to a Walmart phone. Are they the cheapest? I only need it for the rare emergency and when traveling by car — in case I need to call AAA. What is the absolute cheapest option? Perhaps a “burner” phone?
Never had a activated Smart Phone but a brother in the Lord gave me a Samsung S6 which I could use Google voice with as far as our wirelss signal would go (not far!), ther than that I used is as a camera, like for the garden pics here. But the battery decreased to the point that it was only good for about 4 minutes. So I watched some vids on replacing the battery, and bought one for $15 - and broke the phone trying to put it in.
All I have now is a couple old Blackberry devices, best one looks like a 8900. Trying to see if it will take a charge now after many years so I can use the camera. Pray and press.
