This is an embarrassingly bad take.
It is Ukraine with its CIA-guided, ham-fisted propaganda that is pushing that story.
whatever russia wanted, it is hard to not conclude the US did everything possible to provoke this. once it started, they went nuclear with the economic sanctions right out of the gate. that makes any negotiated settlement much less likely.
on top of that, Z does his show every day, demands the impossible in peace talks, and berates the world for not starting world war III.
The absence of any calls for talks by the US government says a great deal. they intend to be in a hot war in ukraine, and don’t plan to let anything stop them.
whatever their angle is, it includes solving the midterm problem too. given how unpopular the administration is almost certain to be no matter what come november, that is very worrisome.
IMHO No one is really talking the truth..reporters are too cowardly to risk their lives in a war zone....so all you’re gonna get is fabrication. My guess is Russia is destroying ukran. war and societal infrastructure.. will take Donbass and donestk(sp?)....and fortify those areas and claim it for Russia. Meanwhile ukr. Has to rebuild and won’t fight for a long time. Mr. Z will flee and government friendlier to Russia will be installed in ukr. The sad part is all of the real innocent deaths and casualties. But something is very fishy in that Mr. Z wants talks while the ukes are winning...one would think he wouldn’t want talks if winning....IMHO.

Only 300 tanks (in total to date) were lost; some of which were recaptured by the Russians.
That is like the stories about Russian aircraft losses - only 12 have been documented destroyed or damaged - of those NO SU-30s, SU-35s, TU-95s, TU-160Ms are in the mix or even reported active in the area. Air superiority or supremacy cannot be archived without them.
Well I won’t say just the US, though of course we’ve watched them since 2014 in the Miadan and before “manipulate” Ukraine throughout the past 7 yrs....Trump pretty much dropped Ukraine but that doesn’t mean the Demrat party wasn’t there doing their work ......

It was mentioned here on FR and at other news sites that during Trumps Presidency there were two governing bodies operating - I have no doubt whatsoever this was true.....and Europeans went along with the former party still operating. They all used Trumps term to ‘set the stage’ for what we’re seeing now in Ukraine and throughout the US and Europe.
OK, fair cop, I was assuming the B3’s in the type, which puts that class at over a hundred. That is, still, the largest category of observed lost tank, which is a current upgraded model. The response was to an allegation that the Russians had attacked with their second rate units.
On your comment, observed losses like these cannot be assumed to be the actual loss, but the very bare minimum estimate. These have had their status solidly established. But a large number of others cannot have been observed closely by enemy forces as many were certainly lost by advancing forces and are now in friendly territory, unavailable to documentation by Ukrainians. And there are certainly others that even the Ukrainians didn’t bother to photograph and upload to social media.
Personally I think the Ukrainian official loss estimate is plausible given those factors.
I think its more like the deepstate and press want you to think things are going badly. 🙄
