Gee, I’m shocked to hear it. The Saudis, the Kuwaitis, the Emirates won’t even take his calls. Now Maduro tells him to go eff himself. So where’s the oil going to come from?

Probably should have replaced him when we had the chance.

He’s friends with Russia, why should he give a crap as to what we want.

Bidens getting the door slammed in his face again and again on oil. But anyone with common sense knows you don’t shut down your own source of energy until you have a replacement source of energy. But what does Biden care - he’d just as soon make his money on his oil investments and us pay him more at the pump.

Well....🎶 ain't that a kick in the head🎶 Remember those Citgo ads with Joe Kennedy praising Venezuela for helping to provide poor people with heating oil? Wonder if Brandon can still call 1-800-JOE 4 FOR OIL?🤔

You don’t actually have to beg anyone to pump more oil. $130 oil does that. Anyone who can increase production will do so.

Anyway, banning Russian oil doesn’t reduce the overall pool of oil out there available for purchase. Someone will buy Russia’s oil, no doubt at a discount.

Biden wants to improve relations with Iran and Venezuela. Oil is just the pretext.

He is purposely killing investment in the US.

A lot of the rigs and production plants in Venezuela are Russian owned.

I am surprised that the present administration even thought that going there would even work. I am not to sure that Venezuela can even pump enough oil to match a fifth to half what the Russians were supplying.
Also, The last three maybe four administrations before Biden treated Chavez and Maduro like crap because the two acted like putzes and they deserved it. The people of Venezuela got in the crossfire and stomped on by the Venezuelan communist regime. Today, The US supports the rival of Maduro and he blames all of his woes on the US. Venezuela has been supporting Russians action in Ukraine and is supported by China and Iran.
So who is the nuckle that proposed and then went to beg for oil?

Since Hugo Chavez took power, Venezuela’s oil production has only gone down. Between the politicians stealing from the oil company and the mass exodus of its oil professionals, they simply can’t produce more than they already do.

Though, at $130 a barrel, maybe there is enough for them to steal all they want and still have a little to reinvest. We’ll see.

Here's the problem: (units are bbl/day)

You can't export what you can't extract. Note the longstanding nature of this decrease - it's a function of deferred maintenance, botched repairs, and general neglect. Maximum export of crude was 2,243,900 bbl/day in 1998. Chavez was elected in 1999.

What we currently import(ed) from Russia was 245,000 bbl/day (Forbes, 8 Mar 22). One look at this chart will tell you why Venezuela can't replace it.

According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, importing Venezuela oil is “not an active conversation at this time.”

Could be a Mrs. Bill Clinton type true statement since Venezuela told him to pound sand already so it's no longer "an active conversation".

But I hope the press doesn't let Biden and Psaki get away from acknowledging that a delegation was sent to be Venezuela to beg for oil.

If that wasn't the purpose of the delegation, then what was the purpose of the delegation?

I do remember a Citgo representative was part of the delegation.

The US sending a let’s be friends delegation?

Tried to kill their President, targeted infrastructure, sent US-AID trucks w/ sabotage materials, annointed a stooge as their President, tried to stage coups, kept medicines, food, & fuel from them. Convinced Bank of England to steal their gold.

And then there is the strange case of Alex Saab, VZ diplomatic envoy who it (reads between the lines of US version) seems was kidnapped, arrested after he funneled 350 million dollars to our DEA in what seems was a protection racket.

Not the US version on Saab, but I don’t believe the US/ Reuters version.
