Comedian & Tesla Owner Worth $75M Says It’s Morally Good to Pay $15 a Gallon for Gas

Was it part of multimillionaire CBS comedian Stephen Colbert’s routine to look like a complete hypocrite by lecturing people about the morals of paying higher gas prices?

The Late Show host praised that the U.S. and European allies are finally considering banning imports of Russian oil. Of course, the consideration comes after President Joe Biden slapped more sanctions on American oil than Russian oil. Under Biden, the U.S. has reportedly imported “more than half a million barrels per day (BPD) of oil from Russia,” making Russia the U.S.’s third largest oil supplier. Colbert conceded that gas prices have hit $4 a gallon, but then claimed: “A clean conscience is worth a buck or two.” He continued his nonsense with a facetious twist: “I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I'll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.” Pontificating about the virtue of paying high gas prices while driving an electric vehicle is blatant hypocrisy, and so is the fact that the show host also enjoys a $75 million net worth.

Colbert definitely put his foot in his mouth.

Clearly what is now quickly emerging is the Democrat's newly admitted narrative. They - finally - got energy prices through the roof, as Obama promised in 2014:

Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket, regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad, because I'm capping greenhouse gases," Obama said. "Coal power plants, natural gas, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money onto consumers.

The Having now achieved their goal, now watch for every news outlet to bang the drum that now is the time to turn to EVs and to fundamentally change the way we live and that this is "the new normal".

Watch, every news source, including the late-night propagandists.

That’s because Elon is a capitalist technocrat who understands economics, and Colbert is a clown.

When you realize he’s a paid for Democrat propaganda stooge it all makes sense.

He was all about Trump getting us into WW3 and destroying the country but now that it’s happening it’s a moral imperative to support WW3

We’re so lucky that only gas prices will go up in his world and he’s okay with that, bless his heart.

But, here in our world, virtually everything needs energy to produce it, ship it or store it and so we will all be paying more for all those things and for gasoline, too. Yay, us!

And all of this was happening as a direct result of what Biden did as soon as he got into office and to the surprise of no one but his voters, who probably blame it all on covid.

And then he sold off some US strategic oil reserves to lower prices! Hahahahaha, too funny … and how did that work? … Exactly right, it didn’t.

And so now we are perfectly set up for this war in Ukraine and its effect on energy prices thanks to …. ??

Trump, right?

That’s my thinking also.

No more mandates, no lock downs, no mask……..rationing can replace those for continued control and division.

[[Does any one really think they will end this insanity at $15?]]

Their stated goal is to raise prices so high that people can’t afford to buy it- just like they did with cigarette prices/taxes. They flat out stated that the country “must transition. Off of fossil fuels” and stated “it’s necessarily going to,be painful during the transition “

Let Jerry Seinfeld and Stephen Colbert Perfectly Describe Morgans

Wonder how many cars Colbert owns. And how many have internal combustion engines...

Yes peasants pay your $15 per gallon gas. It’s easy. I can do it (of course this person has loads of money 🙄). You can too. Be happy your “betters” have given you this. They work so hard to take care of you.
