The suppression of the facts about IQ intentionally obscures the causes of differing educational and occupational outcomes. It makes charges of “systemic racism” seem more plausible. This meaningless phrase is based on the lack of equality of results. Blacks do less well than other groups in society, and commit violent crimes, and others, at alarmingly high rates. One in three blacks who dropped out of high school, an indication of low IQ, end up in prison. Low IQ is correlated with antisocial tendencies of narcissism, low conscientiousness and low agreeableness, low impulse control, and an R life strategy: live fast, die young, and do not worry about the future. The average black IQ is 85.
For my part, I tested out early at 135. Didn't make me rich, didn't keep me from making on occasion some breathtakingly bad life choices. But I was always able to recover, reinvent myself, learn what I needed to learn and press on. And more importantly, to not repeat the same mistakes. We all differ widely in terms of drive, determination, curiosity and ambition; our intelligence is the engine we harness to do as our outlook and ambition dictates. Life is a meritocracy, the best efforts of DIE types notwithstanding.

a possible reconciliation: perhaps POTENTIAL IQ is largely inherited while ACTUAL IQ depends on nutrition while in the womb and during infancy, upbringing (prior to schooling), and early schooling
BTW black IQ has closed about half the gap relative to white since the publication of the Bell Curve

If we threw out the concept that testing is racist, then companies could do IQ tests of applicants straight out of high school, and not require expensive college degrees for most positions.

Character, faith in Jesus, heart, patience, stamina, and more, have greater importance than IQ, in my humble opinion.

IQ is meaningless. Some people don’t test well. Some people are so smart they are stupid.
I completely disagree with this assertion. You may not be able to make such a child a PhD candidate; but effective environment, diet and nurturing can potentiate every individual. Great work has been done with Downs kids, disabled children, and with rehabilitating adults who are post-injury or illness. Why should a slow start in life be regarded as not worth the effort? The brain is not "fixed" and static; it can continue to develop long into the life span.
Cries of systemic racism exist as a way for scared, highly neurotic, narcissistic, Machiavellian white people who want power to control a world they find to be scary, who are not confident in their ability to gain status through legitimate attainment, to use an out group to advance their own status among other whites. Black people end up being hapless pawns of sick white people to advance certain white people’s careers. Those white people do not actually care about the out group since they are not interested in looking at evidence for what actually helps and harms black people.
I tested about the same. And my story is similar. I ain’t rich, not yet anyway. But I can sure spot BS quicker than the average bear.
