I’m still slated to go home Monday and I am looking forward to it.
There will be challenges and a lot of baby steps.
Thank all of you for your prayers and moral support.
I don’t sleep much here on the 9th floor recovery room. Decent view of downtown Columbia.
My wife got a few pictures of the snow that hit breezed through earlier.
I’ll have a mini wound vac plus a colostomy bag for a while. My damage is repairable. The surgeon has seen worse.
Every day I make a few rounds on the hospital floor.
Good luck, and please keep us posted. We care. And strength to you and your family. My Mom had a colostomy years and years ago and her strength dealing with it was just awesome. As a former nurse, i was amazed at how she dealt with it physically and emotionally.
YAY GOD !!!!
