He must be terribly frustrated when other people publicly reject his advice. Especially when his advice is based on constantly repeated personal experiences in a professional setting that requires long hours and years of training.
I get that.
The boundary of that sympathy gets reached when I hear recommendations for effective treatments which the Federal Government has made increasingly unobtainable.
I have lost all patience with appeals to authority as well. Authorities have repeatedly disgraced themselves with pompous, self-serving, and incorrect decrees which cause problems rather than solve them. "Never let a crisis go to waste" is their policy. These people are Evil.
What should we do about COVID? Data sources that might help us answer that question in a rational manner have been corrupted or suppressed in service to totalitarian political agendas.
It isn't possible to know what to do with great certainty. Data are ambiguous, corrupted, or simply missing. The best one can do is try to pick information out of the noise level and then choose a course of action.
Physicians have been taught to learn from instruction (the so-called evidence base) while abandoning intuition and sidelining experience. This is why so many physicians have believed in error.
An example of experience is not only treating patients with hydroxychloroquine, but listening to other doctors who have done so.
An example of intuition is having a sense that hydroxychoroquine cures coronavirus after listening to these doctors describe their success. At the same time, your intuition tells you the null hypothesis is likely false because there are no doctors unsuccessfully treating coronavirus with hydroxychloroquine.
So what? According to their own data, 100% would be 417 people, or 0.004% of the state’s TOTAL population.
If they had been treated by effective protocols - as opposed to those dictated by tyrants - there would be no news headline.
Furthermore, for those who would demonize on the basis of that headline, from their own data the ‘COVID positive’ are only placing a 12% burden on the state’s ventilators.

You can spot the lie in posts and media when the source is. -“ officials” or doctors. Might as well just say they made it up.
I agree with that. They used this to get what they want. They continue to do so.
Perhaps others, regardless of profession, need to be more flexible in their interactions with their fellow citizens. Everybody has their own reasons behind their opinions. (I do not include the outright pot-stirrers which are plentiful on FR in this; those folks have their own strange little agendas.)
For example, I suspect quite a few of us may have lost loved ones who were put on ventilators. I lost a very dear longtime friend who was like a brother to me. He was on a ventilator for two weeks before he died. Last fall, another friend was put on a ventilator and she passed about a week later. Do I think it’s because of the ventilator? I honestly don’t know; I’m not a doctor. But it certainly gives one pause.
People who come huffing onto this site, claiming to be in the medical profession while talking down to others here, replying to them with stuffy remarks laced with insults aren’t doing the medical profession any favors. People have lost faith in and respect for the medical profession. Arrogance and condescension isn’t going to repair any of that; it’s only going to further alienate people.
Until they drop the attitudes, they’ll continue to be addressed with disdain and there’s no sympathy for that coming from this corner.

“Boris Johnson: 90% of Patients in ICU Are Double-Vaxxed”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has reported that the overwhelming majority of people who are in the ICU with COVID are already double-vaxxed. Johnson was trying to use this stat as a public plea to those who have not yet received their booster vaccine, but all he accomplished was further showcasing the ineffectiveness of the vaccine.
“According to some of the surveys I've seen 90 percent of people in ICU are people who are not boosted,” said Johnson. He also said that he “cannot stress enough how vital it is” to receive a booster jab”.

When was the last time you heard a hospital say anything, or the first time for that matter.
This is a clear sign of a made up, propaganda story. At a minimum it is shoddy biased journalism.
Do nc hospitals speak with a southern drawl?
Let’s see the data and the methodology for its collection and analysis.
Not hospitals say, not spokespeople say, not even what one dr says when they are speaking for a hospital system. We need complete and accurate data, coupled with correct analysis.

I am not sure why this is a headline, no one has ever claimed vaccines do not reduce likelihood of bad outcome, it’s about the only thing about the vaccines that has held up so far…
