😁
a conservative boycott can’t have helped a brick & mortar chain that was already teetering ...
BBB is a flea market of its former self.
I’ve been telling people I work with that “go woke & go broke” is backwards.
These companies are already going broke so they’re going woke.
Good post.
But they were able to Virtue Soapbox.
Idiots, they should have paid Mike to appear at their stores for book signings to attract thousands of customers. They also should have asked him how they could improve their stores.
My wife had a similar assessment of BBB. Quality and quantity had dropped over the last few years.
If you look at the list of the places where they are closing stores, it is the same states where people are moving from.
At lot are in NY, CA, IL, etc.
Not a lot of closures in FL, NC, AZ, etc.
Good! There should be a 1to the left of the three.
Once they made their move with My Pillow then they lost her.
Stupidity on their part.
I did see My Pillows advertised in our recent Menard’s flyers. Menard’s is a regional home improvement/building products/hardware type store, that we are lucky to have in our area.
+1
In the last 5 years we have lost K-Mart, Sears, JC Penny, Bed, Bath & Beyond, A.C. Moore, Belk’s, and what was once our great Shopping Mall.............................
Newton’s third.
Who’s on first?............................
No doubt dumping My Pillow products was a factor but a lot of brick and mortar businesses are hurting. Still; I like the karma.
Wokeness is ignorant.
Well, the last time I went to BB&B(Hingham, MA) was when I bought my “My Pillow”. Then they very petulantly and publicly dropped the brand, and I haven’t been back since.
It’s like COVID. BBB had serious co-morbidities and the My Pillow incident finished them off.
Seriously, though the remote learning at college hurt them tremendously. BBB gets so much of their business from kids going off to college and setting up for their dorms or apartments. They lost most of that due to the colleges shutting down in person learning.
Agree. A large group of shoppers may represent the profit margin. No profit or less profit one can make on simple interest of your cash , and bye bye.
I stopped going there, WalMart and Chewy.com. Sadly the other two appear to be doing well!
