Ted Cruz Dons the Pink Yarn Hat of Social Justice

This would probably be a good time to remind everyone that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to endorse Donald Trump for president at the RNC nominating convention back in 2016. We could have ended up with “President Hillary Clinton” because of that petty stunt, but fortunately, support for Trump was way too massive.

Cruz is easy to like for those of us on the right, so it’s always painful to watch when he has one of those “moments” where he figuratively pours gas on himself and lights a match. He had another one this week when delivering a speech in the Senate. Cruz said that the January 6 protests were a “violent terrorist attack,” using the approved talking points of Nancy Pelosi to describe what was actually a mostly peaceful protest.

That speech earned Cruz a trip to the forefront of the world of memes, and this little gem where he’s wearing one of the pink yarn hats from the Women’s March. A violent terrorist attack?

Good grief! Many of the people targeted by the Justice Department since that day are our friends and neighbors. It really was a mostly peaceful protest. Whose side is Ted Cruz on, anyway?

I’m new to Virginia, just in time to vote for Youngkin. Came from NY, where 64 counties voted for the Republican candidate for governor, and just 14 counties voted for Cuomo.

We don’t need anyone who’s going to be another squish or Assistant Democrat. Or “reach across the aisle”.

We need an unequivocal supporter of Conservative values and beliefs, a champion for America and all of our freedoms. Someone who APPEARS to be that and then mischaracterizes Jan 6 to fit the narrative of the insane left has just kicked us all in the nuts. We’ve seen this before and we’ve had enough. Reaction is swift because we won’t be fooled again.

Cruz ruined himself when he took up with Glenn Beck back in ... ‘15? He was trounced by Trump in the debates but seemed to make a good show since. He was able to win back a lot of support from our side. It feels now, that was all for show and a fake display.

Don’t tell me what you’ve done. Show me what you are. Old Ted has done just that, he’s crapped on the goodwill he’s been granted, in one sentence.

Ted is a reliable conservative vote in the Senate. He’s not presidential material, but I hope he gets another term in the Senate.

I live in Florida and have been watching DeSantis. He is a political animal who never saw a camera he didn’t like, but he has been reliably conservative and has a very quick mind to respond to the hostile press. It may be his time.

Cruz is very popular in the state of Texas. He will remain our senator after the smoke clears. He eff’d up. He is owning up to it. So, there it is.

We best stick together and tamp down our differences or the leftists will surely capitalize on them.

Just go out to democrat underground and read some of their stuff. You’ll see them strategizing relentlessly

Cruz will continue to be our senator from the great state of Texas. You know, the most conservative state in the union.

I sure wish folks from places like California and New York would put as much energy against their own crooked politicians the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer as they do against a guy like Cruz.

Secession

It's time for us to jettison those who reject our national values because there's no changing them. Time to secede.

We should extend the invitation to secede on a county by county basis.

While we're at it, since we'd be forming a new country, we should extend the invitation to counties in Canada and Mexico as well.
